His fitness will be better in 2023 and so will the team situation.
He is a moto winner.
Everything I saw of his sojourn at HRC, seemed to be quite good.
He was on full HRC machinery, he and Tiga got on extremely well, and, the team dynamics were great.
HRC stood by him through basically a whole season, well, more, of injury. Things are pretty ruthless in racing, and they kept to their contract, from all I can gather.
They just elected to try another rider - they've got a multi time World Champion, and, they are taking a 'punt' on another rider.
I would have liked to see him still at HRC, but, he's gone to another Factory Team. And, without malice, I'd love to see him make HRC regret their decision......
And being in the GPs with Factory Kawasaki, is a hell of a lot better than having to return to OZ, as a fair few blokes have had to do. Cripes, I counted most of the riders in the top 10 with time in the GPs and / or the US, in our Nationals here this year.
Tipping over on the first lap of MXON was not ideal either, but the P4 was good in first moto so that sums up most of his days.
Hopefully he takes a step forward next year
But after the last 3-4 years, he is lucky to still have a top factory ride. Hopefully I'll eat my words next year. A lot of people also gave up on Brian Bogers and he took his chance and made a huge step forward.
