He did move to big bikes this year so he's doing nothing wrong, now what are some of you guys going to say when he has to ride A class for a couple of years because of the age restrictions being put on guys going pro?17 next year and 18 the following year so get used to seeing some kids dominate their class for more than 1 year.

Now is that going to be SANBAGGING?

I don't think moving up from mini's to the big bike B classes could be considered sandbagging.

From what I've read Eli's dad has always had a long-term plan for his son; not at all likely Eli will be turning Pro prematurely- regardless of what the keyboard jockeys think.

The RPV is a joke to the Professional Amateurs. Race 5 times then practice all year, or run the "age" classes. The majority of these kids very rarely race. Other than qualifiers, and a few select contingency races that's all you see of these guys.

They know the system and use it to there every advantage.
The "age" classes of 12 and over still count against your RPV. His speed is fast enough for A class, but according to the rules he is in the correct class.

So, what does Eli gain by waxing the field like that? Sad thing is, he will be back next year racing A's. Then when he turns pro, he will race the 250f's for at least three years before we ever see him on a 450. Some kids are just ready for the big time.
he gets to be dungey's teammate?

Hey, someone has to win... The kid has been putting in his work and is flying right now.

If people are crying about sandbagging now, wait till the AMA license age is 18 and kids aren't in a hurry to go pro...

Here, here.

Everyone wants to make these young fast kids pros way too soon. Including most of their parents.

I'm not saying he should turn pro, but he could easily be racing A right now. Just saying.

Good grief. You're going to bring in human rights into an mx race?

How many kids in that class did not make it out of Ponca? That race usually claims a good rider or two.

Self nominated A,B, Cs etc... is just all crap!
The fastest riders should be in the 'A' group regardless and every other group should be regarded as inferior (on a sliding scale) supporting races.
If there was no value to winning in the other groups then this nonsense would stop pretty quickly.
Surely the only reason it is how it is now is so that the organizers will get more entries / money?

You can't crucify the kid if he is fast. He still has the same experience as other kids his age.

His genetics will take him far.

I have been patiently waiting for him to turn pro.

The track is actually changed alot, similar in the direction but most of the jumps have been moved or changed. Pretty cool big off camber hill/corner. Several big bowl turns that really only seem good for blocking spectator view.

I heard a rumor that when the MTF crew rolled in they saw the track and threw a fit because it didn't match their "replica" track.
