Anyone have any info on what streaming platform they intend to use? Saw the PR stating Ralph, Emig, & Beat but I did not see what platform they would be on.

That's because nothing's been announced.

This series just keeps getting dumber as time goes on. If they don’t step up big time next year, they are toast.

Aren’t we less than a month from the first race? With pretty much no info? Give me a break.

I don't ever remember watching the AUS-X Open Supercross Open's live - I however did watch some races after the event on you tube. This new WSX has seemed to take it's place obviously https://ausxopen.com
That leads me to my question...
Does anyone remember what they did as far as a livestream or TV for the AUS-X Open Supercross Open's ?
Maybe they'll do the same with WSX possibly?

It sure is strange that they haven't announced anything yet.

With the different time zones, just watch replays on youtube. First race is like 9 hours ahead of EST I think, and Australia probably 14 to15 hours.

If I was a betting man, I’m guessing they’ll do a proprietary streaming package for these two races. No way they’ve locked in any TV deal this late into the year for two races.

I’m assuming it’ll be online only if you want to watch live.

I feel like this would be a great test for everyone if they did a free stream on Youtube. I feel like everyone has brought up how other sports have used this model to get fans interested/bought in. Also, if they are truly looking at this first year (2 rounds) as a test, why sink more than you need to? Already losing a round doesn't look great, and everyone knows the first few years of any business you operate at a loss.

If the coverage is good quality, the racing is good, and they can hype up the full series next year by having 2 rounds on a free stream I bet more people buy a streaming package for the '23 season.

Losing a round? You mean three?

AusX Open was streamed and on free to air tv the same weekend, as well as replayed the following week.
Just under a month to the first WSX round, so I’d expect an announcement soon.

I was going off hearing the rumors, on here and on Pulp a few weeks ago, that the 3rd round is off and its down to 2. I may be dead wrong and if I am I stand corrected for sure. I am no way an insider, just a fan!

In the very beginning, it was "up to six", then five, then three, and now two.

No way I’m paying for another streaming service to watch the 30+ supercross class spin laps around a tame track

I am surprised that just a couple weeks away that they are not trying to sell a streaming subscription, that is revenue that they could already be bringing in. It could be that it ends up on an existing streaming service such as youtube, however they would still need a production crew to video and produce the event.

They have Ralph, Fro, and Kristen Beat lined up, so I can't imagine that is just for in person viewers..

Hoping for youtube because I'm not sure I can take signing up for another streaming service.

I thought I would see who Ralph currently worked for to see if it was, Fox, CBS, etc. But his twitter says this, so I guess he is contracted work now?

"Sportscaster for FOX Sports, CBS Sports, NBC Sports & MAVTV. Owner and President of SPEED SPORT."

I thought Kristen Beat worked for NBC, which would be Peacock.

We managed the stream for them on the last New Zealand round which they did free and they tested it as a PPV for AusX, I believe the plan is have it for free to view all rounds but surprised they have figured it out yet

Adam Bailey mentioned on gypsy podcast they have
"- Their own streaming package
- Approximately 70 broadcast deals in different regions around the world, to be announced shortly."

seems very sloppy... media streaming should be the primary revenue generator for the entire organization, after all more people will be streaming the event then attending it in person.

You would think that if they want people to watch it they would announce it before 1 week out….I’m expecting Feld and MXSports to announce their schedule and streaming package next week and it will be on Peacock….WSX has been a clown show so far….

We already lost a round of the US Nationals over this bullshit. That shit is sacred to me. For what? A 2 round vet supercross series? It will have to be free and live for me to watch it.

Yeah youtube would make the most sense for the first year. Another subscription package for a random streaming platform for 2 rounds would be hideous.

They need eyes on their races. Period.

They should put it up on YouTube & get people interested ini their races…their future series.
