Suck it!

The dude was awesome, and that just goes to show last year wasn't a fluke.
Props to Mitch for hooking the kid up, he rode awesome!

Yeah that sucks.
Maybe RacerX will do a Monday convo with him.
It would be great to hear what he has to say about his win.

I don't get it, when the sx series comes back around, he'll be fighting to make the mains. And he is supercross only, which means he's a X Games specialist.

What crystal ball do you have that shows the facts for next season?

Yep. Just like every year. It just shows he doesnt give a shit. If he can win the X Games against the likes of 47 year old Jeremy Mcgrath, he should be able to make all the mains. Im calling it right now, Hansen will end up top 18 next year while riding on 3 different teams. Bump this after Supercross is over.

MC is 37 not 47.

As for Josh and next years SX season, only time will tell.
I think he can be a top 10 guy no problem, maybe even a lot better, if he gets the starts and stays injury free, and keeps his head on straight.
He has the talent and the speed and he has proven that in the past, remember him passing Reed back a couple years back in that heat race?I think a lot of it is mental.

Paraphrasing Dough Henry. If it there is championship at the end of every race, then he would be the man. Whistling

and that's exactly the problem.... he's always had the skill..... always had the speed..... always had the talent...... his biggest flaw is that he rarely uses all that talent, he only goes fast when he wants to, not when he's being paid to..... and that's what gives him such a black eye.....

You're right man. Look at what he did with his win at X last year. He used that momentum to bus the HELL out of those tables at TGI Fridays! Had Tyler Evans not taken him out he may have been TGI Fridays #1 man. And MC being 47 was a joke. Im saying people are getting ahead of themselves (like last year.)

props to lil hanny, he said he was going to run some nationals in Aus to get ready to defend his x games gold and peolpe round here laughed at him.

He used that momentum to win X again this year. Smile

Like I stated before, a lot of it for him seems to be mental.
It also did not help any that during last years SX season he had lost a couple of friends (Tony & Jeremy).
If Josh wants it bad enough,he has the speed and talent to be up there.

yeah he rode awesome and was a notch faster than everyone else there, but come on if JS hasn't taken himself out before the event the results would have been different for sure.

I agree that Hanny laid the wood to the field today. Good for him. I have always been a Hanny fan. How can you not like Josh Hansen? He's a funny, goofy kid that loves dirt bikes.

He has made some very bad calls in his career and no one can argue that. The question is, what is he going to do now and did this win change all the stupid things that he has done over past few years? Will he get a ride?

Good for JH. H'es always been a flip-flop though. Weather it be doing good at Whitney/Oak Hill at the starts of am. nationals, and gaining speed at Branson... Go figure. Haha. But he's always been strong. But Alot of times had a so/so attitude too...

How about some props for Mitch & the boys? Seems like they gave him a good piece to win with. There was a story about him going to Mitch to get a pipe for a bike that he was borrowing and Mitch went and did this 4 him.

wow, that's really cool. Mitch definitely does a lot for this sport.

I realize that it was a win win situation because it gets Pro Circuit some TV time, but it was a generous thing to do none the less.

G force is 100% correct and you Farva need to get off of Hanson's knob. The kid has been and will always be a what could of been rider.

And Lawrence is following right behind him and will suffer the same fate.

He obviously rode great. Which is what pisses me off... let's us all know what a force he COULD be.

Either way, as of August 1, 2009, Josh Hansen is a winner, and a super fast mofo.

But a real racer wouldn't be happy with winning one event per year. Everyone always says "well I don't see you winning anything" and "how many x-games medals do you have?"

I'm not denying the mans talent, I just don't get why he can win X-games 2 years in a row, then quit his SX only gig halfway thru the season because he's "riding like a bitch." His words, not mine...

Hanson cannot handle structure which is what being on a team demands. He wants to do it his way on another persons dime. That usually does not work 100% of the time.
