Hi All,

Lots of options on the market. My 10+ year old pop-up canopy has finally bit the dust. In the market for a replacement and thought this would be a great place to ask for some opinions on brands and sizes you guys have experience with and like.

My previous was a 10 x 10 MasterCanopy. Looking for at least another 10 x 10 or preferably a 12 x 12 this time around. Would prefer square aluminum poles for increased rigidity with larger feet, but not a deal breaker. Having removable side curtains would be nice for those windier/dusty days. Likely will opt for something plain. Cannot see myself spending an extra 300-500 Canadian for a printed brand specific canopy. Not a huge fan of providing free advertising for brands / manufactures on-top of paying a premium for a printed version.

I just spent the weekend re-siding my dads house and my cousin brought a giant coleman ez-up style canopy. It was sweet. Would recommend.

I'm a fan of the Eurmax canopy's. They have them on Amazon and the one I have has held up great.

ShelterLogic makes good quality ones in 10x10, 10x15, and 10x20. Got mine at NorthernTool.

I was at the Okla state championship races this last weekend in Ponca and went back out to the track today and I bet there were at least 30 or more pop up frames in the trash dumpsters. I still have my original EZ up commercial pop up and its made to last and its from the late 1980s

From the reviews I read, Eurmax and ABC Canopy are some of the better commercial canopies available. I had a $150 (got it for maybe $125) E-Z Up and it was okay, it broke from too much rain when my wife didn't empty it out, she let it keep piling up then when she finally did try to empty one side it collapsed. I blame my wife for this, it was her fault for not knocking the water off sooner.

That said, we decided to go the commercial route for our next one, I got an ABC Canopy and set it up last weekend, worked great. Its definitely heavy duty compared to the EZ UP. The weight is much more, and I partially bought it for the beach, so not looking forward to lugging this thing in the sand, but it's definitely good quality.

I think I got the ABC Canopy over the Eurmax simply because of the estimated delivery date and I saw the dude swinging from the frame on youtube. Maybe it was fake, but it seems heavy duty so if they got me on that shame on me.

Thanks for the opinions and experiences so far. Does anyone have experience with black, or another dark colour versus white or another lighter colour? Have you found that the darker colour absorbed and radiated heat anymore than a lighter colour cover? Not sure it would really matter on these based on the height but curious.

I bought one of those 10x20 Risk Racing canopy tents last fall and haven’t even opened it yet. I sure hope it’s good for what they cost.

They're not cheap but they wont end up in the dumpster and you can order replacement parts
This is the one I have. I went with the M frame and 10x15. best commercial grade canopy on the market in my personal opinion.

15 years strong. As long as you never loan it out, they’ll last forever.

I had a whole pile of parts from unsecured ez-ups that I salvaged.
I kept them at the track, and if I saw someone who didn't secure theirs, and it got wiped out, I'd help them rebuild it with my free parts.

Customer service, baby!

We have a Coleman 10x10 pop-up that's lasted 8 years now. My wife uses it for arts and crafts fairs. I made four tie down anchors out of Home Depot orange buckets with concrete. Keeps it from blowing over in the Texas heat.

I second Impact Canopies. I have one of these and it’s built like a brick shit house. You can buy every part a la cart too. This thing has been through afternoon storms at the beach and MX tracks and never failed. I’ve had it for over 10 years and it had probably another 5 years of heavy use before I bought it.

X3 on the Coleman product. I have a 10x10 I got at Target for around $150. It's easily as good as any EZ-UP brand I've ever used; not as nice as the Impact canopies, though. Those are unreal (but way more expensive).

I had 3. Always tie them down, if they fly they die! The first one lasted 3 years b4 a neighbors flew and landed on mine. Then I went through 2 in 1 season. Had them tied down but the wind still destroyed the frame...

I think Matrix sells their frames too. I got one and it’s definitely the best pop up I’ve ever owned.

They do custom tops that are very high quality and crystal clear graphics.

Who is the privateer making signs and canopies? Heard him on Pulp MX show, but not sure of exactly who. Seems like a win-win!

I think it's this one: https://legacycustomcanopies.com/

But I can't remember who the privateer is.

My local Wally-world had a pallet of them yesterday at $40 a pop. I almost bought one just in-case my 5 year old one dies someday lol.
