"I could stand in the middle of Fifth Avenue and shoot somebody, and I wouldn't lose any voters, OK?" Trump remarked at a campaign stop at Dordt College in Sioux Center, Iowa. "It's, like, incredible."

"The government also developed evidence that government records were likely concealed and removed from the Storage Room and that efforts were likely taken to obstruct the government's investigation," Justice Department counterintelligence chief Jay Bratt wrote.

"That the FBI, in a matter of hours, recovered twice as many documents with classification markings as the ‘diligent search' that the former President's counsel and other representatives had weeks to perform calls into serious question the representations made in the June 3 certification and casts doubt on the extent of cooperation in this matter," he added.
"developed evidence"....Yeah they're getting pretty good at that these days. "likely concealed", "likely taken to obstruct".
Counterintelligence, a fitting title for chief Bratt

If I put my shoes on in the morning, then that likely means to commit a robbery in the afternoon.

According to the DOJ/FBI thought process.

It was based on a total fraud. The Steele dossier was bought and paid for by the DNC and the Hillary campaign. That dossier was presented to the FBI, and the FBI used it as the basis of their Russian investigation.

That’s pretty common knowledge by now.

The FBI has absolutely been tarnished over these last several years.
'That dossier was presented to the FBI, and the FBI used it as the basis of their Russian investigation.

Except that's not how it started at all. That's simply how Trump apologists have spun it in their weaselly attempt to discredit the FBI.

The initial counterintelligence investigation into Trumps possible ties with Russian operatives started on July 31st 2016.

The hacked DNCs emails were released on July 21st and a few days later the Australian government contacted US intelligence to report that a few months earlier, during an informal conversation in a London bar, George Papadopoulos had told the Australian High Commissioner to the United Kingdom that Russia was in possession of emails politically damaging to Hillary Clinton which would be systematically released during the 2016 election campaign.

The FBI didn't receive the Steele dossier until mid-September 2016. It was only ever regarded as a collection of raw intelligence to be corroborated, but Christopher Steele had formerly been head of MI6's Russia desk so it would have been dereliction of duty to simply discount it from the start.

Things ramped up when Trump fired James Comey, which was interpreted as Trump obstructing the investigation.

Grinning No. This is only the latest of a number of traitorous acts.

Do you honestly think he'll be cleared of this? You're the guy who fell for the spin that these documents had already been 'automatically de-classified' right.

Where exactly did I say Christopher Steele or the FBI did nothing wrong? I simply corrected the statement that the Steele Dossier was used as the basis of the Russia investigation.

Human beings are fallible. Investigations aren't always flawless and I bet there are many things the FBI wish they did differently or better in hindsight. Im pretty sure they've admitted as much in public hearings. Which is why I think you can be sure the DOJ investigations into January 6th and these Classified documents are being conducted to a tee. In the current political climate they can't afford not to be.

Google denied access to Truth Social because it violates its policies on prohibiting content like physical threats and incitement to violence. Only delinquents should have a problem with that.

It's not silencing the opposing political party. It's protecting our country from the kind of people who attacked our Capitol and continue to be a risk. Can you imagine a more "selfish and petty stain on humanity" than that? Speaking of selfish and petty stain on humanity... Trump.

Not the facts I have gathered, the findings from IG Michael Horowitz’s review of the FBI’s handling of its investigation having reviewed over 1m documents and interviewing hundreds of witnesses.

Im still a little confused... i dont know what was the basis of crossfire hurricane, but the steele dossier was a central part of getting the FISA warrant. I am not sure what you are trying to prove.

Try reading through this, which cites this exact same IG report you have cited. I dont know what to tell you other you are wrong, unless you are playing some semantics game... from what i can tell, crossfire hurricane was started on misinformation(papadopoulos had no knowledge of the emails and never mentioned emails), the FISA warrant was obtained because of the steele dossier?

I dont have time to go and quote the specific parts, you will have to read the facts for yourself. plenty for you to browse

https://theintercept.com/2019/12/12/the-inspector-generals-report-on-20…

The IG Report went much further, documenting a multitude of lies and misrepresentations by the FBI to deceive the FISA court into believing that probable cause existed to believe Page was a Kremlin agent. The first FISA warrant to spy on Page was obtained during the 2016 election, after Page had left the Trump campaign but weeks before the election was to be held.

Indeed, it was the Steele Dossier that led FBI leadership, including Director James Comey and Deputy Diretor Andrew McCabe, to approve the warrant application in the first place despite concerns raised by other agents that the information was unreliable. Explains the IG Report:
FBI leadership supported relying on Steele’s reporting to seek a FISA order on Page after being advised of, and giving consideration to, concerns expressed by Stuart Evans, then NSD’s Deputy Assistant Attorney General with oversight responsibility over QI, that Steele may have been hired by someone associated with presidential candidate Clinton or the DNC, and that the foreign intelligence to be collected through the FISA order would probably not be worth the ‘risk’ of being criticized later for collecting communications of someone (Carter Page) who was “politically sensitive.”

at the end of the day, the facts are even worse than what you are defending, you seem to be on the wrong side of this argument ... It feels to me you have something you want to believe, based on the lies the media/fbi have spread , but in fact it is not the truth, unless i am missing something... and if i am please let me know, after you have reviewed this.

When you take information provided by the FBI stating "informal conversation" in a london bar and base your entire premise behind he said she said you lose all credibility

I'm way too busy to have done all of this, so thanks for linking these sources (I have read through most of them in the past). The fact that a Democrat administration colluded with the Democrat nominee and used federal resources to spy on the Republican nominee in the months leading up to the election is so much worse than Watergate that I can't believe any intelligent person would support it.

The one thing Nixon did worse was to concoct an elaborate coverup. But that wasn't needed in this case, because the media provided the coverup for free.

They didn’t spy on the Republican nominee, they spied on ONE peripheral member of his campaign team who left even before the election.

I'm not so sure, you seem to think you know more than you think you do.

thats why i wanted to you state what your case is... someone said the dossier was the main part of the the trump investigation - and it was. it wasnt the very beginning, crossfire hurricane was, which is what it looks like you changed the subject to. then you cite papadopoulos etc as being the source of crossfire hurricane which has also been debunked as not credible information.

what are you trying to say, exactly.
