"I dropped to 4th, I was trying to get back to 3rd, I lost the front on a small corner, so I was trying to get up, everybody avoided me except Justin Barcia, he just hit me straight."
(AC222 interview on LebigUSA)
What a surprise...

Well I'm sure you can figure out I haven't seen it.

I spent too much time trying to figure out WSX race format and Cardiff plumber's track map.

I haven’t even tried to understand that yet.

You know, Ferrandis is out of Ironman today...but I wouldn't be surprised at all to see him give Barcia a love tap the final round...just so he'd be all tuned up for his events later this year.

Not hopin'...just sayin'.

Ferrandis is out because his results were average at best, and he found a convenient excuse to get out with the racing incident that occurred between him and Barcia. I wouldn't be surprised if Dylan sits out the last round as well.

Meanwhile, Barcia is out there fighting for posish because he doesn't have an excuse book handy.

Ferrandis won the title last year.

Ferrandis raced 3 motos, placing 4-10-6 before he got murdered by Barcia. If you started your 450 pro motocross season back from injury with a 4-10-6, you'd figure out a way to skip the rest of the races? Sure bud.

Barely inside the top 10 (running slower laptimes than Dungey) when he decided to get rough with Barcia and then complained when Barcia got rough back. The video proves what really went down.

But I guess we'll see if he races the last round. My guess would be he'll skip it.

Normally I would agree with a comment like this but since Tomac and Ferandis are on the same team I’m sure that team ensured Ferandis had plenty of time practicing with Tomac at race speed. His performance as the current champion, while prepping with the other current multi time champion, is lackluster.

I’m sure Ferandis had a cheater motor also. Just to make sure, if you know what I mean.

What a massive disappointment to Ferandis when he was at his peak, to be bested by Barcia.

The video speaks for itself; it's clear Barcia was riding hard and aggressive, but he did not t-bone Ferrandis. I have said it before, and I will say it again, Barcia is a hero and a legend. He's what the sport needs more of: aggressive riding, a no-holds-barred attitude, and the willingness to fight for your position no matter whether it's 8th or 1st. The back of his jersey should say, Legend.
The guy who injured two riders last week is a hero? How does that even make sense? The sport is dangerous enough without Barcia out there acting like it’s a demolition derby

BFD! It's one race.

People aren't going to remember that Barcia beat Ferrandis that one day back in 2022.

Ferrandis is in the history books as the 2021 450 AMA Motocross Champion.

Also, why are you posting from your 2nd account? The other one is still active.

Hypothetical question: If the roles were reversed and it was Ferrandis that hit Barcia would that change your opinion? Me - no, Barcia (the master of the stealth takeout) deliberately and with extreme prejudice took a line that purposely slammed into Ferrandis with sufficient force to send him flying and knock him out of the race - due to his previous history the DQ was justified.

I hope this comment was tongue in cheek or outright sarcasm. Otherwise it is outright delusional considering he 1) was injured at the start of the series, 2) had to jump in mid season after said injury.

As for the ‘cheater’ motor. FFS they are on a factory 450. It is built knowing full well that it can be petitioned.

Edit: after further review, I now see I’m just responding to a troll.

Ferandis has ability. Star Yamaha has the current SX and MX championship plates. Are you implying his injury is debilitating and Star doesn’t have the resources and pure talent to get Ferandis up to race speed?

Honest question. Have you ever competed in a physical high intensity sport, took a break for injury, and then jumped right back with no effect on performance? For most, it takes a bit of time to regain that race pace. There are very few that can jump back mid season with no drop off. Only person I can think of is Trey Canard.

We aren’t talking about most. We are talking about the top 2% of SX/ MX racers, in their evolutionary prime.

In my professional career I fell out of planes. Physical and mental prep trumps all. Ferandis and Tomac/ Star have advantage over everybody.

Well Ace, I would say you should offer your assistance to Ferrandis to turn around his “lackluster” top 10 performances coming back from injury.

Comparing the physical preparedness to jump out of a plane to doing a 30min +2 at a pro pace, on a national track did give me a good chuckle.
