Better watch out. That dealer from Canada might try to take his bike way.

If true....congrats to Justin Cooper. I hope he kicks ass.

I think at this point either Craig or Cooper would’ve been just fine but it is reassuring seeing Justin getting back to his normal form. Hopefully this can be redemption for him considering he signed up for the team when they had to fly out to Assen and race a wet/muddy sand track. Easy for all the Americans to want to race on home turf when things look good but J Coop was there when our back were against the wall and put in a ton of time overseas to prepare the best he could.

I think I just talked myself into Cooper being the #1 pick. Grinning

This is one of best team we had in a very long time we got all heavy hitters on our team it’s so dam cool to see they all really want to be here and fighting to be part of team. No one can say Roger was playing ktm group rider favourite for this team and was cool to see they were thinking about getting a good 450 guy drop down to a 250

I would of been happy with either but when you realize that his main 250 comp is Hunter, who has a history of bad starts, no Vialle, Gerts on a 450 Jett on a 450 Jo on a 450….I think Marv is a wildcard and DeWolf may surprise….

Good call IMO, but let’s not celebrate just yet. Some really good teams will be there.
Don’t count your claimed bikes until they’re in your truck…

I don't know why it was even a discussion. Cooper is hands down the best pick we could have.

Welp, time to put up or shut up now. Didn’t matter who the rider was going to be, they would have my full support.

If Tomac and Sexton ride with the intensity that they have been the past few nationals they will cover the 450 and Open class. Cooper just needs to get a good start and ride it home. This is a race and anything can happen.

Hope so
But his tactics from day one being PRO don't absorb that.
He gets " settled in".. He said it himself when he gets behind another rider.
Need a O'Mara that will push every lap to pass.
Thats not J.C M.O

Why is everyone saying Craig? Yes he is great indoors, but he hasn't ever had impressive stats outdoors on a 250 and to be honest he hasn't looked too great on a 450 this season either. Cooper is coming back from an injury and winning motos. It's a given Cooper should be the guy... unless we we can get Shimoda to be a naturalized citizen.

He races against 450 and open class, his competition is every rider at the event… the 250 competition doesn’t matter every class is scored the same

I think the theory is if he can beat all the other 250 riders then that gives the US an advantage in scoring over the other teams. Then the US counts on Tomac and Sexton to run the table (lets say top 3 in every moto) on the 450s.

I wonder if dropping down Webb or Plessinger wouldn't have been a better idea though. If Jmart were healthy he would be the best choice.
