When the current generation of stock 250F's are putting out the same to more HP's than the 2005ish factory 2 strokes with more torque and lighter weight and modern frame, brakes, electronics, etc...
= a bike that's faster, easier to ride, and able to do things easier on the track. also resulting less experienced riders to get in situations they aren't ready for.
(just watch 250 class supercross and see these riders hitting the triple from the inside to prove my concern)
So in my eyes 450's are overkill and no longer needed, and 125 2 strokes are a vital part in the sport of moto.
This isn't the reason to answer the question but should be looked into by the big bosses tho.
There is a reason why Open Pro Sport, 250 Pro Sport and 250B have special slots in the schedule.
Me: 250B is the premier scouting class for factory rides
Normal Person: Wait. Isn't B the intermediate class and supposed to be for riders of lesser skill than A class (expert)?
Me: In a normal world, yes. In grass roots, local motocross, yes. At LL's, no.
Normal Person: And isn't a 250 smaller than a 450 - more entry level?
Me: In a normal world, yes. In grass roots, local racing, also yes. At LL's, no.
Normal Person: You motocross guys have landed on your heads one too many times.
Me: Seems likely.
