The Vantage M2 would be your best bet. You can download the motocross profile and use that when recording motos. You can also sync the lit pro app to the polar flow app and it will pull the info and display lap times.

The M2 you can control your phones music aswell as get notifications of texts, calls, etc and it will show from who

Email me at info@viralmoto.com if you have any questions or if you want to order a Polar watch I can try and get you a a little bit better deal on one as I’m an authorized dealer.

Thanks

Hi Dusty212x
Please log into your Polar Flow account and under your name is a drop down menu, and click on Sports Profiles and add a profile. On you phone, open the Flow app, on the bottom right, click on more, click on sports profiles and on the top right, tap the + sign. You should be all set.

@MX558 Since you are doing laps on a practice track, most likely, the starting point is the end point. The issue would be if you were leaving from a starting gate. If you know the distance of the track, you can adjust auto lap to unique distance, like .37miles. Essentially you have two ways to set autolap, by distance or starting point that you pass numerous time.
I tried it yesterday and did not work well . I tried multiple distance setting . It doesn't seem to let you go auto lap with 0 distance. So I might go polar M to make it easy .

So my girlfriend though she was being super sweet and got me a brand new I watch which is super thoughtful and all but i would rather had a polar for mx. well i cant say anything dont want to piss her off, is there any cool moto apps or anything i can do with the iwatch that would help mx training or riding? Sorry im new to all this tech stuff as im and old vet rider
The Litpro app works with the Apple watch. I'm not sure how well it works though....

Polar Vantage M has been great for me. I'm 3 months in with this watch and it works perfectly for what i'm using it for (recording and comparing laptimes/ heartrate monitoring).

Which Apple Watch did you get? I would suggest trying the free/cheap trial from LitPro. If you get consistent results then switch to MX Buddy.

How accurate is the GPS on the Polar watches? Anyone care to share an example of lap tracking? I purchased a Garmin Vivo-Active 4 on Prime day and I have not been impressed with the GPS accuracy. This was a big surprise for me, as I figured a Garmin product would have the best GPS capability. I use the MotorSport+ app and I get random tracking and very inaccurate lap data from my watch. One lap with be 5:33 and the next will be 0:47 and so on. I have the data linked to LitPro and it does a much better job deciphering the GPS data, but it still has hiccups. A couple guys I ride with have Garmin Fenix watches and they seems to do a much better job, but I'm leaning towards a Polar watch since use an H10 chest strap.

Finally wore out my old Polar M400 and am in need of a new fitness watch. I'd like to stick with another Polar product if possible. I'm not a runner and will use the watch primarily for moto and mountain biking, with occasional road biking and hiking thrown into the mix. I would also like the ability to sync the watch with my iphone to see who's calling or texting. Beyond the aforementioned, any other features would be considered fluff. What Polar product are you moto, off road and mountain bike guy's using? I'm not totally married to Polar, so am open to other suggestions, but would prefer Polar if possible.

If it does not have not have to tell time, I would say look at the Whoop. I believe KR94 and a few other moto guys wear it. I have one and haven't taken it off in over 3 years. I won't be a full homer here, but most if its functionality has been scientifically and specific to their device, validated. If you are a data nerd or fitness dork, you will love this! They have all kinds of pod casts and well ness crap to help too. I am obviously a big fan and so I'll get off my soap box, but I have yet to find someone who gets one and doesn't get addicted...

Revived!!!

Been interested in the whoop for years bunch of coworkers have them in mil. For moto would it work with LITPro for tracking time based off GPS etc?

Vantage M2 works really well and user friendly polar flow app syncs to strava no problem, the only complaint is the screen is not very bright at allSad and why is the Motocross Icon guy a person standing?

Unless something changed recently, I don't believe you can record any kind of activity with your whoop. It will calculate a 'strain' score for the day based on it continually measuring your heart rate, however, no company has managed to truly crack wrist based heart rate. Wrist based heart rate is particularly inaccurate during activities which kind of defeats the point of the whoop in my opinion. The monthly subscription also blows, especially when you can get similar data from polar/garmin/apple etc.

Is that Leisure time mx? One of my favorite sand tracks. Ol Ernie keeps that place running nicely.

I have the polar vantage M and it works for lap times and GPS quite well with or without the chest strap.  I know it's not the one your asking but figured I'd put that out there. The vantage M v2 and v3 work a bit better as well.

Jeff Walker had a code on his youtube channel at one point, try looking at some of his videos, it might still work.

I do a lot of GIS field collection in the summer months. It’s amazing you get gps data out of watches while riding. People may be asking too much from the technology at this point

Is the Pacer Pro the go-to watch over the Vantage M2 currently? Would I be missing anything with the Pacer Pro?

I’m entirely new to the fitness watch market and want to use one daily to track sleep/hr and activity while trying to get myself into some sort of shape. Tracking my rides hr/effort will be nice, but I’m not needing lap times or segment times.

I've had the Pacer Pro for a month and I love it. You'll definitely want a H9 or H10 to measure heart rate when riding. Wrist heart rate measurements are crap as soon as you grip anything. I use my H10 for pretty much every type of exercise, at the gym, etc. for max accuracy, but it probably isn't necessary.

As far as sleep and general activity, it does a great job. The sleep metrics in general are outstanding.

I have the Polar Pacer and use the H10 Heart monitor. It's worked great for me all year with the litpro app. I originally wanted the dual GPS receiver but litpro was out of stock on them so I just went with the watch. I like the H10 monitor because it will store the data with out a watch.

Polar Has a sale going on, 30% off. Came across this thread searching for a new moto / training watch. Went with the Pacer polar Wayne recommended in this thread. Its one of the watches on sale. Just a heads up.
