KTM dealer here in Boise ID is receiving Qty 55, 2023 XC300's within the next 3 months.

There only set to receive Qty 3, 2023 SX300's. Same with the 250's. Long waiting list for both going into 2023. Originally the 300 is what I wanted.

I said screw it, and am grabbing one of there 2023 350SXF. Probably have it next month, they sold the 2 that already came in.

Are you fellas seeing the same lopsided inventory, in your neck of the woods?

Do we officially know all the changes for the SX? If it shares the ignition and gearing of the XC I'd get an XC.

Agreed! If it shares those same specs, I'm in for an XC.

Not sure about US pricing, but in Canada the XC is $2000 more than an SX.

Local shop told me they were getting 1 or 2 125 sx but 5 125xc. For reference they got 3 2022 crf250r last year but got no RXs.

Since 250/300 xc cost almost $2k more than the sx version and probably outsell the sx but quite a bit I am not surprised they are getting more XCs. You can’t swing a dead cat at a hare scramble without hitting a 300. I am guessing we have more 250sx at a cross country race than at the mx track.

I’ve got my name on a SX and a XC300. I didn’t ask how many they were getting, but I’ll inquire.
October seems to be release date still. Hoping maybe late September on the SX, if the rumor is true.

I can’t wait to hear some real world reviews on the 300. I really want one but looks like the 2024 will have to be mine sounds like there is severely limited inventory coming

I think they send bikes to locations based on what they think is going to sell. Reality is MX bikes are selling nowhere near off road bikes. Culprit is probably short race motos and price gouging by a limited number of local venues.

Off road world is still doing fine though . But, they probably aren’t sending that proportion of bikes to Baltimore or Newark

Your usually in the know...-Smile Any idea if the XC is using the same transmission as the SX?

Likely the same platform as previous years, but you never know...

XC and XCW will share a tranny now that is closer to the xc tranny instead of the w, SX gets a moto tranny

Not a big fan of either track.. jump, jump, jump bowl turn isn't my idea of MX .

So , The good... The motor is way faster than my 22, the rear shock is amazing, aer forks are ... well aer forks.
The new frame is Stiff!

Not sure I need the motor this 350 puts out. I'm 67, I like my 22 motor better.

I'm on the fence on keeping it quite honestly... I only have 18 hrs on my 22 so I can keep it for another year easily.

I totally get it with the tracks. I'm right behind you at 62.

Thanks for the ride report.

If your serious about not wanting the 23, reach out to me. Ive got my deposit at Carls for the next batch of 350's coming in, but would consider yours if you want to unload it.

No it will not. The xcw’s remain basically un-changed from last year.

Kinda. 24 xcw should have the same tranny as the 23 and on XC. But yes the 23 xcw, like always is a year behind with updates. 24 XCW and XC will be much similar bikes then in previous years.

I was reading a thread that said the TBI won’t pass the emissions test in Europe and the XCW is called the EXC and us street legal. So the XCW wouldn’t be going to TBI. The article was in a Euro magazine, but not do not remember where I saw it.

Igniting timing or port timing? They used to use the same port timing between xc and sx, same part number cylinder across the table as long as you matched displacement.

From the sounds of it, its basically the same 300sx as its always been, its just getting hyped up cause you don't have to buy the kit and build it yourself.

Used to be:
Sx: sx high comp head, sx ignition, and if you went from a 250 then a 300xc/sx cylinder
Xc: xc head, xc ignition, different flywheel, different trans gearing
