Several thousand dollars worth plus cash. Couldn’t have gone to a better kid and it made a difference. Now stop. You are an ass.

I don't know why you keep bringing it up each time Hammer 663s posts something in a thread. Just seems kind of childish that you can't move on from it. People donated things, BFD.

Same thing in regards to your comments about swap to a guy that's not Donn Maeda.

Yes - was good racing and good crowd tonight. Was fun.

Looked for you Hammer - did not find your pit. Also - didn’t see the 79 125. Did something happen to the bike?

Who was on that old YZ in the vintage race, and what happened to it? That thing was barking for the 3 laps it was on the track.

We were right at the flagpoles. Had the RD400 there too. JB rode the RM in practice and said he wasn’t ready to race it. He has less than an hour on it and it’s totally different than anything he’s ever ridden. Currier on the Yamaha was flying till he blew it up. Solid night of racing with a really good crowd.

Came by and saw your pit setup, Hammer. Nice bikes!
Stop by our pits and say hi on Saturday.

He was right next to me when we were driving in. It sounds as good as it looks. There's an impressive array of really old-school stickers on the back glass. He has 2 early 80s YZ250s in the back, last 2 in the row. FWIW, this was a really early photo, and 2 hours later there were another 20 vintage bikes there. I got busy with the boy's races and watching the Pros so I didn't take many photos.

The PIR race was so much fun! Me and my friend Rob Windt didn’t know what to expect. But we had a blast! I wished we had races like this over in Europe! The atmosphere was so good, lots of spectators and everybody wants to help you if there is a problem. We loved it!

As soon as PIR posts it up. There were a lot of good battles last night all thru the field. Demartile and Pollitelli went at it good for several laps. BRay came up through the pack for a well-earned 3rd, plus he won the Best Whip contest which I think was $1000, so he made real good $$$$ last night. I was surprised there weren't a few more Pros there since the payout was solid - way more than they will make at Washougal tomorrow.

20+2 format meant 27-30 laps and some came up short on fitness. It's a jumpy, technical track (whoops were gnarly!) and there's no place to rest.

He was. 300Rx I believe. I saw one in the pits at the Hillsboro Motorsports tents and it looked pretty bad ass.

Damn - sorry I missed it. I wanted to see that 125. The RD 400 would be cool to see as well.
Maybe next time I am there (I have been a few times this year).

The RD sure caused a lot of people to stop and do a double take. I was glad I brought it with me. It really is a 70s icon and a lot of guys stopped to talk about the one they had back then. This particular one is so close to perfect and mostly original too. Pretty rare bike. Told more than one guy it wasn't for sale. Wink

The whole evening was a lot of fun, although I'm suffering a bit at work since we didn't get home till 11:15.

Good night's sleep tonight, and we will leave the house by 0700 tomorrow for Washougal. I love it there early in the morning before the crowds arrive.
