It would have been unusual to comeback for just one year.

I remember how good the Dunge looked when he came back and rode a 250 smoker in the straight rhythm.. that is very technical riding on SX type obstacles. I'm sure he would be more than ready if given the opportunity to train/test for SX.

Would you be willing to pay a subscription each month to pay the bills then?

He saying he’s having problems with intensity, personal I think it’s age and his brain slowing down after being away from racing so long.

Either way, it’s been cool seeing him there and happy.
I think if he goes back down to Baker's and rides with the guys, he can do better than what we're seeing. Maybe not by much, but at least be closer to the front runners. When he gets a good start, he's sticking with the guys for a little while and then falls back.

That said, next year is going to be tougher if everyone lines up. AC, Ferrandis, Jett moving up, etc. It's not going to get easier that's for sure.

I've always been a fan, so I really don't care where he finishes. I just think it's really cool to see him back out there doing well and enjoying himself.

I'm still hoping to see him grab a podium.

He came back to race outdoors. Everyone else races SX on the way out. Dungey is a beast.

Didn't he try to get a SX deal going for 2021 that didn't pan out? I wouldn't be surprised if he lines up in 2023.

Webb, Plessinger, Dungey in SX?

What about Marv? He's the only guy to get a win for KTM in SX this year.

That’s kinda crazy, Marc was the top KTM rider in SX.. he has a much higher ceiling than Dunge indoors too

How many SX championships does Marv have.

My theory: Everyone is talking about how happy Dungey seems. I think he seems happy because he has realized that he is a racer and racers race. I think before he retired, he thought racing is what he did and now he realizes that racing is who he is. Pretty deep shit but it's my theory.

I wouldn't be shocked at all if he ended up with Reed or Brayton type of longevity. He's at peace with what he is doing and why should he stop.

I would be shocked if he raced SX. So much more risk.

I can’t see his wife being cool with him going to Aldons for an extended period of time.

He'd relocate the whole family. He mentioned it in a couple of interviews. He needs to talk it over with his wife. He said that Minnesota works for the short term, but not long term.

As much as I'd like to see him running SX again....don't want to see him get hurt.

I wonder if he kept his house down in Florida?

I believe he still has it. I think he mentioned it in a video with Weege during the SX season earlier this year.
