I'm getting ready to move to Brownsville, TX from Morgantown, WV and am looking for places to ride in Texas! I've been spoiled the last 4 years bouncing back and forth between Morgantown and Los Angeles, there are so many places to ride in both areas. In the summer of 2020 in lived in brownsville while doing an internship, sadly the only place I found to ride is ironically called Mars MX. Sick track and not too far from where I will be living. See pics below.

I'll be bringing these two beauties with me, and am even toying around with the idea of turning the 2018 FE into a supermoto, so if anyone does supermoto in south texas, I want to pick your brain!

The only other track I know of is cycle ranch but that's like a 4 hour drive from RGV, which is fine for a long weekend, but with my work schedule, I'm not sure how often I'll be able to do that. Looking to make some friends and fine some new places to ride! Hit me up with any suggestions!

Good news is there are many, many places to ride in Texas.
Bad news is that they most of them are hundreds of miles from Brownsville.
The closest track to Brownsville is "The Grove" in Harlingen. Its private. Give Mike Maley a call. He owns Sound Advice in Harlingen and The Grove is his private track.
Next closest would be about 4 hours north to Floresville, just south of San Antonio. That is where Cycle Ranch is. One of the best tracks in Texas and just re opened.
Houston is about 6 hours north and has 3 track. Iron Dog, Rio Bravo and 3 Palms. All worth the trip.
Austin is about 5 hours north and there are several around Austin. Murphy's in Red Rock, Spoak's is near by. There is also the Austin MX (I think that is what its called now) in Del Valle. Lonestar MX in Belton is about 40 miles north of Austin.
Good luck!
Brownsville is my hometown. I turned pro when I was 18 and living in Brownsville. Eventually moved to Houston when I was 20 to be closer to the Texas moto scene.

I raced Cycle Ranch in it's prime for many years. One of my favorite "oops" was blowing out the top of the catchers mitt bowl turn when people were lining the fence there.
The big stepdown was a blast as well. 4th gear send into clear air.
All that red clay/loam stained everything! And if you wanted rough track practice just show up at 2:00 on a hot summer day. Nasty!
There is a private track that guys are going to near Los Fresnos that's pretty fun. I haven't been riding much because I have a newborn baby
Its near Beeville, not to far from Corpus.
Village Creek, closed temporarily creek dried up, no water
Oak Hill hardly ever open
Underground hardly ever open
Have had a couple new tracks bottle rocket - Kaufman and Shotgun closed
Texplex closed
Edit: couple more closed: Greenville and South Central MX (was Edge)
