We brought Scott Champion up to Washougal to be our test guy at the Yamaha YZ250F intro, and sometimes it's good to be in the right place at the right time. With the news that Josh Hill will be out of action this weekend due to a back injury, and his bike sitting up here being unused, Scott got the nod to use it for this weekend's race.

How cool is that?

wow...

chance of a lifetime for Scott.

there better be a fat VitalMX iron on under that Yamaha logo.

Scott rides the 450 well.. and the one I've seen him ride is his dads... Now he is goin straight to the factory set up.. should be interesting..

Awesome Scott! That's gotta be a dream come true, even if it's one of those short dreams.

Pretty awesome, good luck to him.

I really like how factory teams aren't scared anymore to just sub in a guy for the weekend when the contracted rider is injured. It's such a good move for everyone all around.

It used to never happen, and now tons of guys can say they were legitimately a factory rider, if even just for the week.

I'd be stoked to see him put in two solid motos, learn a lot, and come back healthy.

The fenders on the Josh's 450? It's the same as always. Wink

What's up with all the Scott Champion threads? Mine wasn't good enough? LOL

http://www.vitalmx.com/forums/Moto-Related,20/Scott-Champion-152--2010-…

Way to go Scott! Hoping this amounts to more than just one ride. With all you've gone through to get to and onto the track this year I'm sure you will make the most of the opportunity. My offer still stands though. Get a top ten finish in a moto and I'll still cough up a hundred bucks. Good luck, keep your head screwed on straight and put in a good effort.

A top ten????? ........... Why not 1st. If he can go from absolutely nothing at the beginning of the year to a factory seat then who knows what can happen next.

I'll go with that 13-16 type thinking barring any crashes. The kid hauls the mail according to the results I've seen. The 450 class doesn't seem as deep as the 250f class so maybe he can get up there a few extra spots due to that and then another spot or two for the factory support.

You lucky dog.

Hey does he have the ride UNTIL Josh comes back? ....Meaning if Josh sits out more than one round will he get to keep riding the factory 450?

Thats what I'm talkin about!!!! He can pull that kind of chick as a privateer, what the hell can the kid do with factory backing?? It doesn't get much better than Erin, so I'm thinking, it's him Erin and plus one.. At least for the next race anyway. Wink

Bet Answer doesn't give him Rockstar gear anymore, without Rockstar chipping in.
