I remember playing Reflex and Battlefield 3 and imagining how amazing games would be in ten years. Grinning

Apparently they put the same national tracks from the last game in this one, but they’re calling it the “50th Anniversary” national tracks. What a joke. I’ve done so many laps on those tracks in All Out, I’m sick of them.

It went from December to late May (which seemed unlikely) and now pushed back to June. No problem here. Going to need to see some gameplay though.

Never heard of them. This is Vital MX, not Vital ATV.

You can spot most atv legends wearing their jersey at your local supercross

Bit concerning that we haven't seen proper gameplay yet. I have low expectations but I hope I'm wrong, I at least expect it to be better than All Out, I don't really see how it could realistically be much worse.

Lets see MX Bikes inspired gameplay. I don't wanna do 4 barrel rolls in the air.

The pov view looks pretty cool except for the fact that his hands aren’t really on the bars

Gameplay looks horrendous, play MX bikes instead, in VR.

Can't we just get Mx Unleashed remastered with a couple new tracks?

I was just playing this the other day with sym physics installed and on one of jagmstr`s outdoor masterpeices, to this day I don`t think anything tops that.

That’s not the new game when he’s in 1st person… that’s the old one… The new game is only shown in the 3rd person on the supercross track and it looks really really good. I’m honestly excited for it.

Always blasting the mx unleashed playlist whenever I think of sitting in front of the small TV with a friend playing splitscreen. Best game ever. (together with Tony Hawks Underground 2 :D)

At 1:17 he jumps into the face then launches a massive quad. Terrible.

I just watched it again… that kinda shit has been in mx vs atv games since the original one and was hella bad in reflex… so nothing out of the ordinary with an arcade game… you can do the same shit in mesx5 currently…. If you don’t want to do that, mx bikes or mx sim is your answer.

What is this? I’m interested. The rider looks like they actually move and react with the bike. Granted, is that real gameplay?

The game is "MX Bikes" on Steam. The physics are far more realistic compared to the other arcade games out there, but still forgiving enough to not want to quit 10 minutes in. MX Sim being the leader in realism and frustrating instances. However MX Bikes isn't perfect and still being updated/changed.

There is a skill gap in the game and it is rewarding once you get the feel for it. Community made content is plentiful as well.

I played this in vr once or twice. Its super cool doing whips but the graphics are so bad. Get a good gut wrench going over big jumps though

Having played both, do you think MX Simulator is more realistic? I think it's more difficult to play, but that doesn't mean it's more realistic. If you watch any race or play at a good average level in any championship, you will get the feeling that the bike has no weight, it's more like riding a bmx because the game allows you to lower the stabilities too much and turn the bike incredibly fast. Mx Simulator doesn't even have lateral movement of the rider, and the vertical movement it has is incredibly fast and unrealistic. Its terrain deformation is lousy, its optimization, its first person camera, the tracks are exaggeratedly over-scaled and it is not necessary to brake in the turns, you simply lower gears and accelerate to the maximum, the traction... its sounds are disastrous, it has no real-time shadows... And so on and so forth. I've played it a lot and I don't feel it's more realistic than Mx Bikes. Mx Simulator is harder to play at first than Bikes, but that doesn't mean it's more realistic, just that the stability physics are more sensitive. Mx Bikes has managed to not be an extremely difficult game at first, but it feels very realistic. I don't know how the creator did it but it's very well done, and he's still working on the game on a daily basis so that's great because Mx Simulator is abandoned

When a game is harder to play than riding, its not a simulator of anything but frustration.

The graphics are great, and a game with great graphics and terrible gameplay is never fun no matter what it looks like. Graphics doesnt make a good fun game!!! Gameplay does.

I agree with you 100%... I have 100hrs on Mx Bikes and it is better Than MXsim hands down (I have 400hrs on that game).

at a certain point you can break the physics of mxsim... meaning there's certain settings that allow you to not crash when you should.

New gameplay update: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FI1BjoQdVXU

I'll be honest, this game now looks waaay better than the old gameplay leaked 5 weeks ago. The amount of changes they did in a month is ridiculous. Obviously can just judge by looking, the feel is always different.
The rider still looks really stiff for my taste, but the bike physics look day n night in my opinion. Could actually become a cool game.
