This is an insane interview, 16 time isle of man winner. Bear in mind, seeing James Whitham cringing, himself beat cancer twice.

You can get both a Book, and a DVD on Hutchy called 'Hutchy : Miracle Man' .

Both have their stomach churning moments. Blink Sick Dizzy

I live 10 mins from where that's filmed, I'm surprised that there aren't any complaints of not being able to understand them from some of you American dudes. Amazing that he didn't start riding and then racing till quite a late age. Super pleasant humble guy.

His story about when he fired up his rolls royce airplane engine with it on the trailer and it taking off through his barn is great

Lol... you'd get along better with him drinking a mug of tea and talking about a 1930s diesel truck engine.

Big issues with Dunlop slicks left a heap of them out of the superbike races with Dunlop pulling the tyres after multiple failures

Have had a couple of beers with him when he came over for the Burt Munro challenge. He’s a laugh but even harder to understand after a few beers

Watched a few specials on him and working on lorry’s and he would always make it a point to get his tea. Dude is awesome.

Yeah they aren't great are they, real shame when something like that stops the racing. Really hope this gets sorted for the TT.

I got to meet and hangout with Guy at the Austin GP a few years ago. Awesome dude! Could understand him perfectly fine until we started talking about our racing and then it was the Guy everyone sees in interviews. Hands down the highlight of my weekend

Here's how that tyre damage happened :

https://youtu.be/GlmexJfy3IE

Just, Just ............... Faaaaaaaaaarrrrrrk!!!!!!!

Fearful, fearful stuff.

Michael got very, very lucky.

His dad, Robert died at the NW200 in 2008. The Dunlop family has had 4 members die racing, Joey, Robert, William and a brother in law to Joey and Robert, Mervyn Robinson in 1980 at the NW200. RIP to all.

You'd be giving a lot of thought as to whether you should be running Dunlop tyres at the coming IOM TT. Dunlop (the manufacturer), will be going through their race tyre production (batches and general procedures and materials - well, every bloody detail) with a fine tooth comb, one would think.

Several failures occurred - from what I can find, no one was hurt from them - I certainly hope that's correct.

It was weird that there tires where preforming less then the Metzlers whole day. Davey Todd made his front tire explode in the Superstock race when he was riding 3 to 4 seconds faster then the whole field, Peter Hickman his rear tire came apart just after putting down a lap record. It seemed like they couldn't handle the +300km/h

What annoys me a bit is that after the first Superbike race (see Michael Dunlop footage) they blamed the riders but after one failure after an other they couldn't do anything else then step up and take responsibility. Luckily everyone walked away safe and it gives something extra to talk about towards the TT!

They blamed the riders, MXMatti??????

I guess they must have been stopping during the practice sessions / races and, say, doing burnouts.....

Bloody Hell, that's a manufacture trying to take the piss on an Epic scale.

I've had to cancel my (almost - we've had a few weird years, as we all know) yearly IOM trip due to a newly acquired medical problem, and am moping around ( a bit to much, I will admit) . This year it was to be as a non worker, just as a 'tourist', for the first time in my 10+ visits to The Isle, to have time for myself and my gf. Luckily, I've had a mate and his wife take over our bookings, so only a few hundred dollars are gone on it. Hopefully we'll get back there next year.

In the mean time I've bought the Live Stream package, for $34.95 AUD. For that you get all practice sessions , races and a lot more. So, between that, MXGP, US Nats, World Cup DH, and MotoGP, I'll be sitting still, as the Doctors require of me. But with at least an hour a day watching 'stuff', while on The Dreaded Rollers.Woohoo Sick
