I’ll go first,
Currently have 3 in rotation
2022 CRF450

This is my first modern 4 stroke. Just got the new suspension on, will be riding/racing it this coming weekend. Really the only thing I don’t like about this bike was the stock suspension so looking forward to getting some seat time with some solid suspension underneath me. Bike has a ton of power, ergonomics feel right at home, easy to work on. And has gotten me some great race results, I just need to get in better shape.
2003 CR250
Have owned this bike since 2008 when I was 15 years old. I’m 28 now. Never made the 4 stroke 250f switch as a teenager. I only love my wife and daughter more than I love this bike, was/is/will always be my baby. I could be homeless and still wouldn’t sell it lol. Amazing handling, all the power I could need and want at 6’3 215. Suspension works pretty well, was repsrung/revalved by JM Racing in Houston Tx. Bike has a Scalvini cone pipe, talon/excel wheel set, custom woody woodpecker graphics I had Throttle Jockey make for me. Basically a Carmichael themed build with a lot more black brought in.

Then last but not least my 2003 YZ125, JM racing built the motor for this one, 134, ported and polished cylinder, head cut, case matched, tumbled trans etc etc. blast to ride, I’m too heavy for it but something about being able to use every ounce of power a bike has to offer you is a ton of fun lol.
Suspension lacks the most on this bike, even resprung/revalved the KYBs on it just ain’t it. We bought a 2019 YZ125 front end for it that’s going on. looking forward to riding some KYB SSS with a proper front brake as well. Should be nice.

Pros: BRAAAAAAAP
Pros - Comfy, can ride it to the trails. fuel range.
Cons - Not so good at triples and whoops.
Pros: There hasn't been a better MX machine built since.
Cons: There hasn't been a better MX machine built since.

Pros: Fast
Cons: Heavy
2015 YZ250
Pros: Looks/sounds cool
Cons: Hardly gets ridden since purchasing YZ450F
Pros: Its fun and its solid.
Cons: It works me to death and reminds me of just how much more practice I need.
Only real con is it seems like Showa takes a bit more finessing to really dial in compared to KYB.
Super comfortable and roomy bike though.
Pros: handles awesome, light weight, sounds and smells good. Decent power.
Cons: harder to find parts sometimes as it gets older. Vibration.
I love this bike. It’s a 300SX that I got from an old Endurocross team. I really like that it doesn’t have typical 300 characteristics and it just feels like a faster 250 with the same power spread and 5 speed gear box. Cone valves are nice too, I refuse to ride 4CS lol. Cons would be that it can be too fast and stiff when I’m out of shape or having an off day or whatever, just not a super “chill” bike to ride.
2003 KX500
I bought this bike as kind of a novelty and basically ended up liking it way too much and now I just ride it on everything. Super versatile bike weirdly enough that just suits me well and is a lot of fun. Pros would be engine and frame are amazing and cons are that everything else on the bike stock feels like spare parts from a KX60 and you’re going to want to replace them. Also it eats a ton of gas but Lectron has helped a lot.
Pro: Makes me feel like a hero when ever I ride it
Con: Its loud
Definitely has a lot of room too like I said in my OG post I’m 6’3 so a spacey cockpit is a premium for me.
Your build thread helped me with my decision to move forward with my purchase. And i don’t regret it one bit🤘🏽
Pros- Fast.
Cons- Too fast.
I first raced 250 two strokes in 1999, ive plenty of experience on them. I just added my very first flywheel weight to it..
Its all down-hill from here!
Pros: Everything
Cons: No E-Start
Pit Row
2000 KX 250
Little bit of thump, little bit of braaap.
Worked the Best for killing vibration of the clamps.
I don’t race but, it’s still a fun bike doing poker runs in the PNW. Interchange few items and, I can ride in the California desert or, the woods up here.
Only con I can think of is its age.
Pros: Best bike I've owned (coming off a 05 rmz450)
Cons: Not enough seat time
Pros: Easy maintenance, light and agile, smooth powerband hit. The most notable praise I have for this bike is that there’s virtually no vibration with the counter balancer. Especially since coming off of a 2006 cr250.
Cons: Suspension could be better, but I like the ease of adjustability with air forks.
Seriously considering a 250f just for a change of pace. I’ve ridden 250 smokers for 6 years now.
First in fuel injection. Easy to pull chicks.
Pros
- great power curve
- handles amazing
Cons
-my fat ass bottoms it out sometimes
2019 CRF450 Snowbike
Pros

Cons
-none
2009 CRF450
Pros
-it looks good in my garage
Cons
-it’s old
2003 KX500
