Barcia races for money. 5th place money apparently.

The dude ain't normal. You can see it in his eyes. He's got the Charley eye. He may be on the spectrum.

Didnt think i'd get my dose of misogyny so early in the morning.
It wasn’t misogynistic. Disrespectful maybe but not misogynistic.

Too many pussified peeps here. It's racing. If other riders did the same as payback, instead of acting all scared of JB,, he wouldn't get away with it as much.

Hannah and Glover are laughing right now...

It was entertaining and honestly, I have cleaned a guys clock more than once, and I have been the target as well more than a few times.
a zillion downvotes but I actually agree.

What has always mystified me is that you see Mookie look back going into the corner. He KNOWS he's coming. EVERYBODY in the stadium knew what was coming. I get that these guys want to race as clean as possible, but Barcia is an outlier. they KNOW what he's going to do and at some point it falls on them to anticipate and handle him. I personally can't stand JB, but I just don't get how people get caught being surprised by him. Frankly, if I was passing JB, I'd park him. If he got parked every time he got passed, he'd figure out real quick that he might wanna change his tactics.

Either that or beat the shit out of him in the pits a few times.

Mookie had him covered speed wise. Be super defensive the next few turns and he would have gapped him. Instead he left the door wide open and then was all surprised that Barcia pulled a Barcia.

I think, Barcia doesn’t let you hit him. I can’t understand why Stewart let Barcia hit him.

I wrote that before they revised their “official” final results. At that time they had Barcia at 21 points. My apologies. As usual the AMA doesn’t have a clue what they are doing.

nah. you didn't read what I said.

I do not agree with Barcia at all and stated as such. But I said that there's got to be a diff way to handle him and simply leaving the door open and saying "Wow - sure hope JB doesn't clean me out in this turn!" is clearly not working for anyone.

1st...whether or not Mookie should have done something different does not change the degree of how fucking cheap bam bam’s move was. He probably, and wrongly, thought he had enough space to take that line and barcia still made it happen. That’s not racing at that point. AC made an outstanding comment. If you are okay with that then that move is always there....you can ram the guy. Barcia is an ass for thinking that is ok on any level. I’m racing for a living?? You’re not at that point. ...and the money comment? I guarantee his contract had end of season bonus for where he placed. How’s that move seem now? I don’t even want to see that kind of move for 4th place in the LCQ because it can easily injure the rider. That’s just fucking bad for the sport and trying to put some of the blame on Mookie for not avoiding it is valid only for Mookie avoiding it...NOT for excusing a total fucking cheap shot.

2nd...I keep saying this. Because barcia does what we saw last night...the only way other riders, and I mean EVERY rider, should now pass him is put him in the dirt. Everyone. He is a cancer to the sport ...and with cancer you don’t treat with half measures or it keeps attacking you. You attack it aggressively with full intent of ridding the cancer from the ability to attack you again.

The biggest mistake Mookie made was not trying to avoid contact in that turn....it was not punting barcia on the first pass. Barcia has done this desperate last gasp shit after guys pass him more times then I can count.

Hurting another rider just so you get your bonus cheque seems a little low to me for human decency. Keep “clocking” people though. Seems like you’re at Barcia’s level of intelligence.

I wish Malcolm would have caught him.
If Stewart had have caught up with Barcia then Stewart would have taken Barcia out.
Big time.
Likely resulting in both them not finishing the race (ie no points).
And both getting points penalties.
As it is, Barcia went from a possible 3rd in the championship and down to 5th.
And Stewart got 3rd in the championship.
Colossal strategic stuff up by Barcia.

And, the only reason Stewart’s pass on Barcia was clean was because Barcia saw Stewart and hesitated on the exit to avoid a collision.

Had Barcia not done that they would have collided due to Stewart’s aggressive riding and forced pass.

Why isn’t Stewart smart enough to do the same?
You seriously need to have your eyes and head examined. It was a heavily rutted turn. There were 3 distinct ruts. Barcia went high. Mookie went low. The ruts did not merge. Each stayed in their rut start to finish. So no matter what speed either of them went, they were not going to run into each other. Ever.

Seriously...watch it here in close up....slow mo....

1:21....entering the corner. 3 distinct deep ruts.

https://youtu.be/rs9BdB-7Kv4?t=81

1:23...exiting. See how they are still each in the rut they started in, and how the ruts do not merge?

https://youtu.be/rs9BdB-7Kv4?t=83

There was no checking up by Barcia. He was just on the outside and MS was railing the inside rut as fast. But the inside rut line was about 10 feet shorter...hence the pass. So what you are saying about JB checking up to prevent MS from crashing into him is just delusional nonsense. You seem to be the lone person left hanging on Barcia's nutsack, and will come up with anything to rationalize your fan-boying of that idiot.

I'd like to make sure I understand what you're saying.

The top picture shows Barcia's incident where he comes at Stewart at 90 degrees. The bottom pic shows Stewart's pass.

What I think I hear you saying is that these two passes are not only comparable, but are in essence the same.
