Suzuki's departure from motogp isn't good but it could free up funds to participate further in the homologation series like WSB, motoamerica, mx, sx... The ammount of marketing and development funds into bikes like the katana and hayabusa were a waste I think.

I have heard from my dsm that suzuki is going to push hard into the supermoto bikes like the drz400. Seems like one of the most popular suzukis.. everybody loves that bike and it hasn't changed much in years. of course this is all speculation lol...

This is definitely a move Suzuki has used a few times in the past...

Sure have, RC said the RM 250 was updated to be close to a yz250 at least motor wise, and the original rmz-450 was based off the crf450.

I think it was Naill Mackenzie who said “Kevin Schwartz’s greatest strength was that he didn’t know the Suzuki was so bad, his greatest weakness was that he didn’t know the Suzuki was so bad.”

I guess outside of Kevin Schwartz, I’m not interested in anything Suzuki so I won’t miss them.

All of their sport bikes and the drz400 are super outdated. They have a good thing going with the 750 but still don’t seem to care enough to update anything.
