Only issue I'm thinking is the first lap. Gotta do something to keep everyone from wadding up the first lap.

the ovary reaction is because it was a fan favourite and caught on video for all to chew fingernails while lamenting their concerns, which seem to change weekly here.

Hunter was scrubbing hard
Yeah why's he throwing a whip? It was his mistake. You see a dozen guys before him hit it straight on and get over it without a problem. That said its a huge jump. But hey don't jump it then

On a regular race day, when you do not feel right, do you let off? Of course you do. He made a mistake, hopefully he's ok and good to race. If something is too big, do you jump it anyways? I'm old and I do not but some do and sometimes crash. There is a limit for all and not knowing it is occasionally tough on the body.

Horrible thought and I hope it never happens. Who is gonna be the first to get killed in this sport? They keep sharpening the razors edge.... this shit is out of control. I was so excited about Altanta track but it's no good if people are going to get hurt by pushing the envelope.

People have been killed racing Supercross. It has been a while (2005-ish I think), but it has happened.
1 rider has died at an AMA Supercross race
Was San Diego 2004 I think
His name was Jason Ciarletta (sp)
It was not on a big jump. It was in the first turn.

This is just an example of the limitations of riding within a stadium.

A jump that size with a more forgiving landing area, with out tough blocks is common to see within mx.

Sx is narrow, peaky & needs to be limited more.

Sx suits slow speed, less air time.

Like JW was saying, maybe it’s time to start restricting the bikes ?

No you want to restrict them to less than a 250?? Racing is dangerous and always has been. The throttle hand controls the speed.

If there is one thing needed, its improved safety equipment, but the riders don't want to wear anything due to restricted movement and temp. Alpinestars has the Tech Air system for street bikes for example. We need that in moto IMO, but still won't help knees/femurs/ankles/arms etc.

I think he would have been fine had he not blown his left hand off the handlebars. Cool to see Jett and Phil stop and check on him.
