You and those you are with are heroes, thankfully not a lot of us have to go into war zones in modern times, tip of the cap to you all who have the stones to step up and help.

Get some rest, you've earned it.

Well it’s a mix of things. For one, you’d have to believe that Ukraine forces have actually killed six General level officers. The number is likely lower, but there are some dead generals.

Russians have a long history of generals leading from the front. Their officer ranks are unusually top heavy and officers will offer take part in day to day activities. They differ from the American military in that they don’t have numbers or high competency in their NCO ranks. They fill out a larger number of officers and those officers take on more dangerous combat roles than the American equivalent, then they sometimes die in theater.

So basically Russian officers are more expendable than other militaries’ and there’s probably some over reporting of high ranking officer deaths going on. Psyops is a major part of war and we’re getting all of one side of it.

That's Ok. They're gonna die "Remotely" just like the Dead Russians that they are replacing.

The ANC has a long history with Russia. The Soviets supplied the ANC with weapons and training during the Border War, so its no surprise that they with stand with
Russia. Most of Sub-Saharan Africa has dealings with Russia and China.

Moving on I'm happy to see that ol Kongols is back home and safe.

Three Russian cosmonauts have arrived at the International Space Station wearing yellow flight suits with blue accents, colours that match the Ukrainian flag.

The men were the first new arrivals on the space station since the start of the Russian war in Ukraine last month.

Cosmonauts Oleg Artemyev, Denis Matveyev and Sergey Korsakov, of Russian space corporation Roscosmos, blasted off successfully from the Russia-leased Baikonur launch facility in Kazakhstan in their Soyuz MS-21 spacecraft on Friday at 8.55pm local time. They smoothly docked at the station just over three hours later, joining two Russians, four Americans and a German on the orbiting outpost.

Video of Artemyev taken as the spacecraft prepared to dock with the space station showed him wearing a blue flight suit. It was unclear what, if any, message the yellow uniforms they changed into were intended to send.

Russia said it has used hypersonic weapons to destory an underground military depot in western Ukraine. Hypersonic missiles are fast weapons that can evade detection by missile defence systems.

Russia’s defence ministry said on Saturday it had destroyed a large underground depot for missiles and aircraft ammunition in Ukraine’s Ivano-Frankivsk region, the Interfax news agency reported.

I’ve been wondering if they’d start using these. That’s sad. As inept as their conventional forces have looked Russia still has very capable advanced systems of destruction.

Crazyest part is that they are acting as if they've been attacked. And people in Russia believe it.

I guess you can't really blame the population if everything they're being fed is controlled by the people in power.

Seems like the older generation is pro Putin and are in support of what he's doing, while the younger generation who have more access to information outside of Russia are against it.

It's weird.

This is evident that there is a disconnect and cultural differences that have been shaped throughout the last few centuries. It's difficult to understand the perspective. It's terrible that we compete to become momentary masters of a fraction of the earth. Common understanding of humanity seems to be hindered on behalf of selective greed. War is terrible.

This is very true, Mav.
We all remember «freedom fries» etc

If real new reached the average Russian they would not support this war.

I saw the same thing with a Russian friend. She’s lived here since 2006, and she tried to talk to her mum on the phone. She litterally refused to believe it, and was convinced Putin was on a humanitarian mission🙈 they are now not on speaking terms (again)

Luckily Americans are immune to propaganda of any kind, enjoy balanced media coverage, and are never tricked into supporting illegitimate military actions by their "leaders." That's only for those backwards Russians.

Yes, it seems that simply reporting the news without trying to slant it or make it fit an agenda is impossible anymore. Who, what, where and when is all I want. The WHY of things is too subjective and easily manipulated.

No different that people who watch a particular type of news in the US.

Many seek bias confirmation.

They want to believe they are right, so they unintentionally seek information that "proves" they are right. This is where things like "alternative facts" get tossed about, or alternative theories is another.

We,ll never hear the truth of what’s going on and why Russia invaded. But I did hear Ukraine was ethnic cleansing the Russians living in Ukraine. I worked for 5 1099 Eastern European Chicago co.s and made Great friends with many of them. Even on rare time off in Green Bay I hv the same friends a Ukraine pal at the ymca taught me brieviate - hello. A group of women in the whirlpool from ccp, Russia, Ukraine, mondova, Bulgaria, Lithuania, etc all get along great and there all beautiful. My dispatch, payroll, Elog team lives in Serbia there all super cool. We laugh and joke a lot there truly awesome people. Research 1999 nato attack on Serbia. 1971 the Serbian pres let the Albanian refugees out of kindness to move into and live get a job and buy a house no passport needed. It worked great for 15-20 yrs. then the Albanians prob the bad ones formed a Terrist army and where ethic cleansing Serbians in the Kosovo area. At the embassy the American diplomat said no you will not stop the rape and murder. The Serbian pres had threaten to stop it, to show a military presence hoping to stop it. He order Military and tanks to Kosovo. The tanks never made it to Kosovo. Nato order American to attack Serbia. It was a humiliation bombing of schools, religious monuments, hospitals, clinics, passenger trains, houses, tv station, no military targets. Depleted uranium bombs where used . In 78 days 2,500 civilians where killed all specific targets. In the end a part of there territory was taken. The main drug flow in Europe is threw turkey kosovo is close . The powers didn’t want the Serbian pres to stop that. My coworkers said at the time they didn’t know who was bombing them because the tv station where bombed out. The UN refused to open a investigation on the war crime. Control ovr the mines where a part of it also and the flow of drugs where a big part of it. A lot more to it but I got to roll out. Ps this is not seria it’s Serbia. When I started I asked Sammy- Mielosh if he saw the biden missules being fired to hit the Middle East. He said that’s seria.
