You have to show the winner cross the finish line, it’d be a huge blunder and disrespectful to ignore the race winner. They earned the win. They did the right thing by keeping a camera on the battle for third and showed us the replay after.

Imagine if you just won a big race and asked why they didn’t show you taking the checkers and the response was “well because Jett was battling for 3rd…”.
