Rest in peace, Bill, I Always enjoyed walking around the pits and checking out his bikes. Bill handed us some tools in between motos at a national even tho we were racing against his riders. The guy always seemed Friendly and had a lot of love for the sport.

What a great man he was... Bill Dill pursued his own dreams in motocross, and by doing so he allowed countless young privateers to also keep their dreams alive. He kept 3D Racing going for more than twenty years--just last night Devin Simonson finishing fifth in the 250 LCQ, just missing out on a qualifying spot--and he did it almost all on his own. I don't think there has been another privateer entity that has kept it up as long as Bill did, and if there ever was a pure Motocross Hall of Fame, Bill Dill would deserve to go into it today. Godspeed.

I raced Billy in NESC back in the day. Good rider, good dude. Always appreciated his passion for the sport, dedication to 3D Racing and helping privateers.

RIP Billy

Since 1st meeting Bill in the St Louis pits many many years ago I have spent a lot of time with Bill at the SX’s and National races. Great man and a great friend.

In the first timed practice the camera followed 3D Racing’s Hunter Calle around the track for about 2 laps so I am sure after watching that Bill passed with a huge smile on his face and a glowing heart.

We still have 6 sets of the special 3D Racing Orange YZ250F hoses and if any 250 privateers or Rock River would like to honor Bill by running them let me know.
