Have a question for Lever action Rifle enthusiast
Anyone bought the MARLIN MODEL 1895 SBL? (PIC and site VID Below)

https://www.marlinfirearms.com/s/model_1895sbl/

Contacted Scheels and Bass Pro for cost tonight. Please let me know if there is another outlet here in Co Springs would be better.
The Mounting rail , Big loop hand trigger, wood grain and of course the 45-70 Govt is what I like

Let me know if you have this weapon and how you like it.

Thank-You

When gander mountain was closing they had sales and I had gift cards , I was torn between the marlin 45 70 which was my preferred caliber and the henry 30 30 . I ended up with the henry but it was a tough choice.

I did just put together a mossberg 835 turkey gun for spring birds recently , added the longbeard XR choke, rail and knock off red dot . Patterns the 3 inch longbeard XR really well at 40 yards. Sorry for the hijack, I get excited to show off new stuff LOL.

Why did Gander close?

I missed the memo on that one.

We have Bass Pro and 5.11, but nearest Gander was a long way away, so I missed their closing

I thought the Camping World guy bought them?

Camping world for sure bought them out ,I'm not sure what the reason was for the selling of the company. The one near me started selling RVs out of the parking lot and a local RV company apparently knew the right people because they shut down the RV sales portion so they packed up and moved about 30 minutes away.

I looked it up, Lemonis (owner) wants to consolidate them down to a Gander/Camping World.

If the retail location couldn't also do RV's, they closed it.

I’m a believer in using common chambered rounds. 9mm, 5.56, .308.

My last “weapon” thread, about how I spent my stimulus money got me kicked off here. 🤠

Nice rifle Rodeo4k. Which bipod is that? And I can’t make out the optic branding.

Sorry, I don't know anything about the rifle you asked about.

I had a Marlin that was a lever action 30-30 with an octagon barrel. Actually it was inherited by my wife. She gave it to my son after we were divorced. Fine by me. It's a wall hanger because of the serious hair trigger. Way beyond unsafe.

That doesn't suck.
I was using custom loads too.
Took us a while to find what it liked, but we have the recipe now.

Here's my "funner than a 2 peckered goat" rifle.
I picked off a swimming beaver at a buck fiddy among some other amazing things.

That's 3 in the Bud can.

7.5” barrel? The scope might be overkill!

Good luck those are the new ruger bill Marlin's everybody trying to get their hands on them. I'm waiting but if I see one or a Henry case hardened sidegate I'll pull the trigger on the either 1. But I but I think it's gonna be a while before you see 1 of those marlins for under 1200

This is my rifle. There are many like it but this one is mine. 7.62X51.

In some uncertain amount of time it'll have a fancy little thing hanging off the end. That timing is dependent on the ATF getting off it's ass and doing something with a stamp.

I took my parents out shooting recently when they last visited. I grew up shooting with my Dad (had a berm to shoot in my backyard) but Mom never really cared for guns growing up. That all changed when I handed her a suppressed .22
Here's a few that fit on the table.
