We just gonna forget about canards broken back?
Would be cool to see short documentaries on some of the riders. Shimoda comes from Japan. That's a story I'm sure plenty of people would be interested in hearing. Supercross doesn't get much further away than Japan.
Same goes for Ken in Germany, Musquin/Ferrandis from France, Lawrence brothers from Australia. Anderson from New Mexico, not exactly the hot bed of the sport. Bonus if they can actually get it done where they're from.
I'd much rather watch something like that than "What's your middle name?", "Where did you meet your wife?", etc. Glad they ditched that segment.
It would also be better than watching "How to jump a triple". If you're new to the sport, great, but I'd imagine the amount of people that actually care about things like that is low.
Also the sandbagging wouldn’t bother me nearly as much if they didn’t act like it’s such a huge accomplishment to be doing what he’s doing. Kinda like how J Mart has commented multiple times about how it sucks to still be in this class but had no other factory options. And you can’t even put those two in the same sentence when it comes to outdoors.
Pit Row
BUT- this is a bottom-tier sport, and that means bottom tier production and creative talent in involved with what we see on the air.
Some of those “ how did you meet your girlfriend” interviews are cringe-worthy, but someone had to think that shit up, and someone in charge of production had to OK it and put it on the air.
We get what we deserve.
His never won a lites title and only won a handful of races before this season, same as Davalos etc.
If you say it’s unwatchable now, imagine the top few go up to 450’s, then you have a more stacked 450 LCQ, and even weaker 250 class.
Why go to 450’s if you haven’t won the title yet, and you have a paid ride and an opportunity to win one.
It’s not like his winning it year after a year and staying down.
The standout was his talking to Chiz - I really think that is the sort of thing Feld should put up during broadcasts. Entertaining, informative about one of the 'lesser lights' ( and I mean absolutely NO disrespect to Chiz or Any of the riders further down the place getters) and bloody funny. And, ' Team Solitaire's' managers (my minds gone blank - I used to follow his page in RacerX, years ago) take on things was great, too.
I'm sure (well, I hope, but you never know about say, the sponsor of a vlogs' approval) Weege / DC and Co would not object to having some of their stuff used. Weege revealed he was a 'spotter' for the broadcast, so he seems to be 'in' with SX. But, then again, the seemingly absolutely verboten mention of National Championships by riders, and therefore MXSports (eg, RCs) and only mention of SX Titles success, may indicate otherwise, with regards to Feld ever making use of others work.
Congrats on the keyboard autopsy
Ummm Craig himself said “… nobody has had a career like me.” That’s where this comes from.
