GL announcing desert series on MavTV

So I’m flipping through the channels tonight and turn on the Maxxis Desert Series on MavTV and am surprised to hear GL doing the announcing.

I thought after the whole Nationals and vaccine issue GL was done with the TV announcing scene? I know he had his IG post where he said he wouldn’t go back to them even if they didn’t require the vaccine.

Did I miss something and does this mean he will be back for nationals?

Yes. My apologies. Just saw “Desert Series” with Maxxis above it on the leaderboard on the screen and went with it.

MavTV is not NBC. (Owned/managed by different people, maybe?) Perhaps his beef was with a different group of people.

For those truck races, I would guess that the announcing isn't even done on site. They probably do it in a studio someplace, a few days (or weeks) after the event. He might even do it from his house.

If I am wrong please call me out, but I recall Weege saying on one of the pulp shows that Grant WANTED to be out of announcing too?

I think he was tired of the travel for the live announcing of the nationals.. if I had to guess he gets to go into the film studio to voice over this series.

No, he quit during the outdoor series. Feld doesn't have anything to do with that.

I believe it was an NBC Sports policy.
