This sucks. Hope Herlings title defense isn't over before it started.

Everts got injured at same warm up race 98 and 99. He didn't attend in 2000.

He could miss 4-5 rounds and still win the title again, more than 5 and it would be difficult.

Bummer... He can be dominant, so I'd rather see him sit out 2 events and come back healthy than try to ride through it and extend the injury.

Oh I don’t know about that, last time he did a national it was only one round and the title winner nearly blew it trying to keep up with him 😉😉😉

You totally miss the point. The GP’s don’t punish guys with racing week after week. You can get hurt like Herlings does miss a month and only potentially miss two races, instead of 4.

What is the point, MXGP riders don’t get weekends off. They finish a race on sand and are going hard pack next or clay they grind for two weeks getting ready. Bringing up a hypothetical U.S national scenario sounds like a “ we have it tougher” innuendo. Anyway I was just joking, lighten up.

I may be wrong but I don't know of anyone who has ever missed two or more rounds of the nationals and still won, it just doesn't happen here. Not near enough races and in a short time period.

What would DC say about his series taking up the whole year?

Since you want to bring up that 5 year old race, maybe you can mention the charlotte, florida mxgp races. Or the glen helen mxgp.when tomac destroyed the top mxgp guys. . Guess you forget those .

So as usual anything with Herlings in the title turns into an AMA vs MXGP shit fest.

I think it was during a practice on monday, not at the race.

With Herlings and Febvre being off (okay, JH might come back soon enough) and Cairoli not racing anymore, it's looking for Gajser... Unless Prado or Seewer or else can beat him straight up but that seems... tough.

Big Gajser fan, but if Herlings truly isn’t good to go, Prado should be the title favorite they all got lucky he got hurt in Germany last year.

With a full field Prado still a threat. He’s my pick for the crown regardless

Big gap between rd1 and 2 but this sucks! More time on the bike equals more risk and he rides a lot
