How many kids even know Humble Pie?
He’s always had a dirt bike in front of him since he was 2 years old. Rode a little as a kid and at around 11 ish chose to sell his RM80 to purchase a better bmx bike and has been at it ever since. Only recently, last few years, he has saddled up on a MX bike again and straight away is not too shabby.
JM845. Funny you mention casually throw a bar. For years he would get mad at me because he would show me a trick he did and I would say can you bar out? Seems like he took that to heart. Lol.
Thanks again!
Honest question, why do so many street bmx guys not wear a helmet? I have no problem with it as it's their choice, but seems like a logical thing to put on when doing that kind of riding. Especially if it's someone's career and a head injury could end it. Brain buckets are pretty good these days and don't really inhibit movement.
MTB and moto guys you rarely, if ever, see without a helmet when pushing the limits. Then you have bmx guys doing just as crazy of stuff and it seems only a few have them on?
Is it just a cultural thing? Or a cool factor? Just find it interesting how not having a helmet on would get you flamed pretty hard in other similar sports, but is seen as the opposite in Street BMX. Don't think I've ever seen Brad Simms wear a helmet, but he did a crossover MTB video and he put a helmet on?
@Jeffro. Thanks! BTW would you happen to know a guy named Jeff Erickson? Seems like I may have met you back in 2001 visiting Jeff and attending the Washougal National.
