been seeing a lot of normal bikes just sitting on FB marketplace lately... prices seem to be "normalizing" a bit in my area...

Same here too. Was recently in the market for a 250F and had TONS to choose from. Some people are punch drunk on what they think their bikes are worth. One guy has called me back now multiple times because I had offered him a very fair offer for his bike within $100-$200 of his asking price. He was firm on his price. Now he has called multiple times trying to do a deal.

Inventory is a lot better, lots of bikes to choose from and prices are starting to come down off of stupid asking prices. I would expect more of the same to keep happening.

should see snowmobile pricing right now. I spring checked (ordered in may of last year and my sled is delayed by polaris due to covid issues and still not set to be built til mid -february. guys that get lucky and actually get one delivered are re-listing them for 30k and they are selling. I'm hoping mine shows up here soon so i can re-list it. lol

I'm starting to see some regret sales in the Portland area. Bought, rode 2x, now regret it. All makes/models, even street. Next year I will look for a low-hour KX250 for the boy at bargain prices. I can wait.

Older bikes here in WA are close to prices before covid. Newer bikes 2018+ are pretty steep still. Most going for 6500 or so. 450s are cheaper as always lol

Used bikes will continue to bring premium prices in 2022. The manufacturers do not expect to be able to fulfill all the new units orders from dealers until Q3 or later, and dealers need to sell something. They are scouring the used market for deals right now.

Bikes in my area are getting a lot better. I saw a 2019 ktm 125sx for $3000. It sold in a few minutes though.

Watch what is happing in the stock market today and the last 6-8 weeks. There are a few pockets of the country were prices of goods and houses is tied to the stock market more so than others. Of course the bay area- silicon valley is one. But Parts of Washington state, Oregon.... NY... etc... the prices paid for stuff is tied to the value of the stocks/ stock options folks have. Growth stocks tank... so do housing prices... used market for goods. Rents etc.

With that said the last 6-8 weeks have been a blood bath of lower... and lower stock prices. The startup growth stocks that fuel the economy have been hammered. Lots are down 50% or more from the highs. This is a very nasty correction.

Reason for sharing this; be patient.. prices are falling for used good... and they will fall a lot in the next few weeks..

$60K for a CR500? In a crate? This man must surely hang out with StankDoggie.

PS... I have no knowledge in this area but is there some bad weed being passed around? Comments... would explain somethings.

My buddy picked up an 04 CR125 for $2600 a few months ago. Thing was bone stock with probably less than 5-10 hours on it. Still had the warning stickers and stuff on the fender and swing arms. He’s newish to the sport. I told him he had no idea what kind of deal he got lol. I did ride it and that thing is SO damn slow compared to the newer 125s. I just didn’t remember the bikes being that much different but it’s huge. Compared to a current YZ125 it’s probably more like an 85 Laughing

It isn't worth 60 grand, that's for sure. Love how he says it's supposed to be a forum where we all love the same thing, then precedes to try and rip off people with an outrageous price.

I like it . Looks like you can get your weight really far forward for turns and it also looks like some weight saving measures have been taken on the bike .
