This is the part that really intrigued me. I'd like see it in action.

“When you fit this [LED light] device and the device is working, you can do whatever you want.

“You can display the position, you can display logos, you can display the lap time in qualifying or something like that. There are many possibilities.

“You have the technology, so it’s easy to programme what you want to display.”

This tech isn't new. I don't think you would be able to see it in the light, but could be used during opening ceremonies.

It might be a cool way to help show rider position, integrate into an ontrack warning system, and display logos in a way they are visible from the stands. Lapped riders wheels could turn a different color after they are lapped, you could turn the wheel a different color for the rider that is on the fastest lap or many other things. It would make it easier to be able to see what place a rider is in for the average person in the stands. Late into the mains when people are getting lapped its hard to tell what place a rider is in if your at the race and You are looking for your favorite privateer that is in the top 10 it can be hard to figure out. F1 racing is the most advanced form of motor racing , if it is done right it could look very cool and be like a moving scoring tower. It could also be and look super dumb. But if the light is bright enough it could be something worth trying. The light up signs , bigscreen, scoring tower , etc are all lit up during the racing so it could be possible to get bright enough lights. I would like to see it and see how it looks. They could start out just allowing teams to run them as a test. then if they worked well enough make the timing and scoring part of the wheel display. Just think, no more having Your wife/girlfriend , new race fan you brought along , asking who is in what place every 5 seconds. Instead they will ask , why do they have those numbers that light up, and why are they different from the number on the numberplates.....
