You have forgotten a few other important ones
Yamaha has also won this year again in
Motoamerica superbike class (also Yamaha won every race except one I believe, YFZ R1)
Pro mx atv championship (YFZ450 Chad Weinen)
Womens wxc gncc championship (Yz250f Becca Sheets)
GNCC XC1 ATV championship (yfz450 Walker Fowler)
American flat track productions twin championship (mt09 Cory Texter)
AMA National enduro Championship (Yz 450 Stewart Baylor)
and many mini o's and LL's championships
I'm sure i still missed a few also
But it’s same price as Gasgas and within stones throw of ktm and even Tm for a bike with no development. It’s just shameful to me.
And both Lawrence brothers finished the outdoor season 1&3 in the championship for HRC.
Correct!! The YZ450… and why was it referred to as the ‘pig’ for a number of years?? Yes, it was relatively unsuccessful. (Of course it has now changed)
DESPITE, the small bore YZF being hugely successful in SX & MX.
So if I say “RED pig” do you think I’m talking about the championship winning 250F or the only 450 four stroke never to win a SX championship?
Pit Row
Some amazing achievements, but to be fair some on your list are hardly MotoGP or a champship raced around the world.
But just trying to shine more light on your point of a dominant year for Yamaha.
Although that's nothing new for Yamaha. Just nobody talks about that because all the professional internet keyboard warriors give the blue pig such a bad rap since it has won supercross and motocross championships and wins since its birth.
But hard to call it a red pig when it wins racers. just the rider keeps choking come back half of the season haha
The CRF450 has won more SX racers in the past 5 years than the YZF450
How dare someone charge as if it’s a cutting edge race bike when it’s the same engine from 99 and same bike from 05 with 2 restyles since then lol.
but a couple things to ponder on though. maybe why the bikes are at that price point that they are.
1) don't fix something that isn't broke
2) has updated suspension specs that has come the four strokes
3) has updated brakes
4) the 2022 has actually some good improvements
5) still a competitive bike even at a pro/a class and would be imo competitive if they would make the pro supercross/mx series an actual 250cc class.
6) can't knock someone that's continuing to keep the 2 strokes in production
7) lol and their cutting edge race bike is around $1,000 and $2,000 respectively more. so there's your discount.
Here's another scary thought and correct me if I'm wrong but i'snt the current rm85 actually the same bike with no updates since Eli Tomac raced them as an amateur?
