Maybe they’re having trouble keeping the soles from disintegrating and falling off the boots before they can get them in to the packaging?

This is truth... who cares about colors, when are they gonna fix durability???? The last two pairs of a stars I bought fell apart within a couple months... at that price point, inexcusable....

But no other boots' sole dissolves in water like a Tech 10. Yet I keep buying more.

Im in the same boat.
I rode in sg12 for almost 7 years(mx and a bit of enduro and hard enduro recently).
Last december i bougth a set of tech 10 last gen for 356€ in europe( motoblouz).
Since i bought them i fell in love, great support, comfort and i feel the pegs, levers and the bike like im riding in shoes.
Soles burn pretty fast but you can replace by yourself and even if for hard enduro are worse i prefer tech 10 over sg12.

This is exactly my experience. Just switched from years of Gaerne use but the tech 10s are exactly like you said. I think there’s maybe a balance between comfort and durability. Sg12 less comfortable but bulletproof while the tech 10 is like a sneaker that unfortunately wears out like a sneaker

Same. Love the feel, comfort and look of tech 10’s but they are whores and wear out quick lmao

The plastic on the ankle on my tech10 broke after a short time making a hole in the side. I really like the boots just not the quality.

I have 2 pairs of 2021 10's...first I bought black/white. Sole was gone in about 12 hours, sent it to get a Sidi sole put on.

I bought a pair of LE before I shipped the original ones off so I wasn't without boots. Since then I've put about 5 hours on the LE boots and they're already shredding the sole.

I now just use the black/white for practice and the LE's are for races only. Pretty soon I'll need to send the LE's off to get Sidi soles.

Then after that they will release '22 colors, I'll see some I like, fork over another $650 and repeat the process all over again Laughing

Are they the longest lasting boot ever? No. Are they incredibly comfortable, protective and provide great feel? Absolutely. And I'm super biased as I sell their products but I have had zero issues burning through tech 10's and have two pair of the current gen that have held up great.

Nothing better than alpinestars on my feet! Very comfy and great protection, also very good quality.
Have tech 10 for motocross now.
For enduro bought the fox instinct enduro, not even an comparison for me.
Do not feel as safe, they feel cheaper. Not as comfy,y feet starts to hurt... One positive thing, they are very waterproof.
But every feet is different...

see I have about 40-50 hours on my Tech 10s and the soles are still pretty good, A - class offroad and run raptor footpegs

Besides the soles I have zero complaints. The 2021 Tech 10 is a great boot. Much better than the previous gen. If it had better soles they would be amazing. Hopefully a solution is in the near future.

I went from the Fox to the Tech10. It was tough getting past the break-in period, they felt a lot wider. I dig them now though, and I do think the Tech10's sole makes it easier to ride on the balls of your feet.

Looking forward to the all red ones!

I swore off alpinestars years ago cause of the shit durability of the soles…came here hoping it had got better. Not surprised, but disappointed.

They release next month in the US but have been released in other parts of the world already. They were supposed to come out this fall but got delayed to January.

What type of footpegs? I shred the shit out of my boots with my Pro Pegs.....they are great.
