Yea for anyone over 50 I guarantee the majority are not happy with all the streaming crap you havta subscribe to and trying to keep up with the constant changes and updates, such a PITA.
By the time you add it all up along with an Internet service you are just about close to the cable service I presume?
I don't know, as I have yet to cut the cord as I figured this might happen and don't pay for any streaming service as Netflix Sux!
Get peacock FREE with Cox
When Notre Dame played home opener on Peacock? Come on now
I have a bar I go to where I could get Supercross on tv but if they are on Peacock forget about it
LMAO... now people are paying more than ever for their multiple tv/streaming services... LOL... and getting crap in return....
this just gives me a good reason to stop watching SX/MX.... the broadcast was insufferable anyways... always with freak'n golf, or beer pong running long and missing the first 45 minutes.... always on weird channels... some live, some at some other weird point in the future... damn near impossible to watch the last few years anyways... will be glad to get a bunch of time back in my life where i am not sitting around watching a 3 hour commercial every week....
so ya... great move to peacock.... i get more of life back... get more riding time... and i don't have to see 8 googolplexes of Monster and Red Bull shoved constantly in my face anymore....
Peacock is $5 per month with no contract, I watched the entire SX/MX season for $45 spread over 9 months and then cancelled it as soon as the Nationals wrapped up.....if that is too much for you to pay then you aren't a real fan anyway or you suck ass at managing money and need to seek help.
Pit Row
BTW, I'm 53 so it's not just young people cutting the cord to tv.
I get the "See YA!" attitude towards cable and TV services; but, YO, Bro?! I thought you are "All Moto"?!
SX being on TV...MX being on TV...is good for al those pros that everyone seems so worried about, right? How the hell do ya think the factories and sponsors see ANY value in a team, rider or our sport without it...?
Peacock is fucking $5 a month
If you are talking about other sports (NFL, CFB, NBA, Etc) then I may lean a different way, as it might make sense to have a tv provider login to use for multiple platforms.
But for SX? You are bitching about $5 a month seriously? I would still pay the $5 just to not have to sit thru the same rocky mountain commercial 20 times during the night.
How much is a complete cable tv/internet bill? Close to $200 a month right?
BTW, saying that anything is "free" when you pay for cable TV is stupid. Back in the 90s races were on ESPN2 from 11pm-1am 2 weeks after the race. This wasn't even basic cable in my area, you had to sign a yearslong contract for an upgraded cable package, stay up, or set your vcr which was a complete pain in the ass.
Internet access $75
Peacock $5
Netflix $15
Disney plus/hulu/ESPN bundle $20
Hbomax $15
Youtube premium $10
Amazon prime video $10
I've enjoyed watching SX/MX on the weekends, recording it when I couldn't watch it live. I could identify racers just by there numbers, could tell you where they are in the points standings, who they're signed with. Numerous other irrelevant points of interest of someone that simply enjoys watching the racing. It's not the $5, it's not some kind of stance against streaming, or even Peacock. It's just that watching the races is enjoyment for me, not a necessity.
As they say... a sucker and their money are soon parted.... have fun paying for what should be free....
Btw.. I got a bunch of kick ass air for sale.... only 69 bucks per bag.... at least you will get a bag with air in it for that 69 bucks, instead of endless marketing, ridiculous announcers, and the camera guys always looking at the wrong spot on the track...... lmao
