His win today is his 70th in the premier class of MXGP.
Everts has 75 premier class wins in MXGP.
Stateside MC has 72 250/450 SX wins and the GOAT has 76 250/450 MX wins. The 70 win club added its newest member.

It’s not like we needed another reminder of Cairoli’s greatness, but here it is anyways. A pretty exclusive club.

Man...you got to love TC222. The guy is an animal, and the fact that he can still bring it at his age...especially against a stacked class of fast/hungry youngsters is pretty amazing. He's going out in style, that's for sure!

He was very few to use scoop sand tyre for better start.
He won even was still sick as you can hear from post race interview.

It's crazy to think how competitive he is at that age. If he hadn't had that massive off he might have still really been in this title hunt.

I know it's all ifs and buts..

BUT

IF he didn't have that crash at the first round he would've been rrrrright in there maybe leading before his big crash..
(I've done no research to back this up) Would've made this epic title chase even more epic

Truly amazing career !! I have enjoyed watching the last few years of MXGP racing and #222 is really special, his family and that guy in the back ground is just as special for there part in this run, one of the greats in our sport.
