UPDATED. No major damage and will make a full recovery.

Please note that I get no pleasure posting shit like this, however, we all need to keep in mind that motorcycles of any type can cause hurt. If Tony had put his damn boots on, even without socks for his test ride he would only have suffered some roadrash....now he gonna be doing motos on crutches for a while.

(I phoned him, he is in good spirits and is now a self professed Idiot)

Tony took his 450 down the road after washing it. He was wearing sneakers.

No bones broken and he will recover but lost chunks of meat and skin.

A lesson for everyone regardless of the bike you ride.

Well... that's pretty fucking savage.

All the best to the guy, imagine that's not gonna be a pleasant healing process, and hate to think how much fun it was while it was in progress.

What actually happened if you don't mind me asking, shoe lace or something hung up in the chain or dropped it and caught a peg or similar?

First thing I thought was....that ain't the foot of a twenty year old. Because, once you're middle-aged, you don't really make full recoveries anymore.

"UPDATED. No major damage and will make a full recovery". Maybe I'm living in a different reality but I'd call that major damage. Hope it doesn't get infected and he does indeed make a full recovery, that's a nasty one Sick

I doubt no boots caused that. Probably some poor decision making combined with bike washing beer party.
C’mon get real. How many of us are going to put on boots to take our bikes down the block and back. We are natural risk takers or we’d be sitting on the couch watching football every weekend like everybody else.

I dont know what happened and he is still pretty confused himself as to what happened. He has been doped up with shots for pain.

His brother says he snatched the front brake a tad to hard and washed the front end out. ( according to an eyewitness )

I dont know...he has minimal roasties on his body. The foot injury looks like something related to the back wheel. That is pure speculation.

They are busy with skin grafts and again, no broken bones or ligament damage. He was lucky.

Will sure pick his memory once he is discharged from hospital and report back here.

Tony's brother found chunks of skin and meat on the footpeg. He reckons the pegs are sharp...must be some aftermarket pegs.

That definately explains the damage.

That's exactly what Tony is like. Throw back a few cold ones whilst washing the bike and a natural risk taker down the block and back.......when he is done lying on his back whilst skin grafts are being done he will be spending lots of time on the couch, watching TV like everyone else.

I learnt my lesson years ago..flipped my KX125 wheeling downhill.....was wearing slops, board shorts and a t-shirt with a helmet. Lost so much skin that day and had close on 90 stitches.

Foot injury subjected to infections, slow wound recovery due to blood flow, nerve damage causing permanent partial dead foot feeling and possibly two different shoe sizes forever.

What mess, heal up moto buddy.

Jeez, all these razor sharp Ti pegs around I'm surprised there aren't more like this.

Again, all the best to him and hope it goes as well as it can do from here 👍
