I haven't seen anything posted up here yet. One of the most influential members of the Texas motocross community, Shand Garcia, is having a pretty rough go with covid,

If you've attended a major race in Texas in the last several years, one of the voices you heard on the mic was Shand's (usually alongside his sidekick, JP Parsons). He also owns Shock Sox fork seal protectors and wrote BERM "The Texas Motocross Chronicles" coffee table book. Shand's a wild man and all around good guy whose motto has always been "Championships won at 3am and 3pm".

Please throw some good thoughts his way. He will definitely appreciate it. Last I knew he was out of the hospital but is not out of the woods, yet. Still on oxygen, etc. It's tough to see one of the most fit and energetic people I know struggling.

I hope your friend is able to quickly make a full recovery and get back to doing what he loves soon. Sounds like a cool guy that loves moto.

Shand is a huge part of the Texas motocross scene and the sport in general. He's always up for a bench race and a chance to promote the sport and the riders. I really hope the best for him and his family and a full and speedy recovery.

He posted a FB update that he is indeed out of the hospital and trending upward slowly, but still not that close to well. Sure hoping for a speedy and full recovery.
