As most on the site have seen already, our fearless leader, GuyB, is moving on from Vital MX and to his next project in life. First off, a big thank you to Steve for building this place, creating the community, and running it basically single-handed for many years. This place has created some amazing discussions, great topics to help others, supported fundraisers, been a creative outlet for many, and more. None of that would've been possible without him. I hope you're proud of this place Gibby...Vitards and all.
While it's been a couple years now, I had the opportunity to work with and learn from GuyB for around four and a half years. After which, I took a different route to try and learn some new things (some successful, some not so much). When I started at Vital, I didn't know a thing about media before Steve and Brad gave me a shot. Well, other than my keyboard warrior experience. Without them, I wouldn't have created some of the relationships and friendships that allowed me to chase so many opportunities in this industry. So a big thanks to both.
You never say never, but I didn't expect to come back to Vital MX so soon. However, GuyB did remind me multiple times he wouldn't be doing this gig forever. It's like he could predict the future or something...he just didn't tell me it would be so soon
. Anyhow, what I'm getting at is with GuyB heading onto the next chapter, the crew was kind enough to ask me to come back home. I officially start next Monday and will be taking on the role of Content Director around these parts. No, I don't plan on being the "new GuyB" as I can't match his style of editorial or content, but I'll do my best to continue to help grow this community and create content for all to enjoy.
Also, I'm pleased and excited to be joining a larger content staff than my last go around with Sean Klinger, Brad Resnick, David Pingree, Grant Dawson, along with Maverick in the forum. With this crew, there's more we can do than ever before.
When this opportunity first came about, my biggest stress was trying to set things up where the race team could operate with less of my input so I could take up this amazing opportunity. But as the last few weeks came about and the team shutting down, I'm able to place my full focus on this place. A real bummer personally but a blessing, all at the same time.
My new email...well, my old email...is back up and running. If anyone has website or business matters, you can reach me at Mlindsay@VitalMX.com
If any STFUs are in order, please fire away.
Oh, and long live GuyB!

Welcome back! At least Guy B is not throwing a newbie into the vitard jungle.
I've been involved in almost every aspect of this business, so it's all very familiar and feels like slipping on an old pair of sneakers. It's really refreshing, to be honest.

Oh yeah... STFU NOOB 2.0
I was a Half-Ass team manager, errand bitch, and check writer for about a month for ONE GUY, and it was a dawn to midnight job eight days a week - not to mention the giant hole in my bank account now
I don't know how MX and SX teams do this all year, it it just endless work and stress just to get a rider to the line to race, the actual motos are the fun part, it's in between that is the hardest.
Props to you for having the balls and the organizational skills to start and run a major race team, not a lot of people on this planet can say they did that.
That said, welcome back to the Jungle...
Also, what ever happened to that A-Kit suspension shootout?
I think his best option now is to do MX2 in 2022, make some money and get some results and then set his sights on the full AMA SX west / Outdoor AMA nationals series for 2023 - he is barely 19 now so he has a little time.
Maybe if we cross paths at the local tracks I can pick your brain?
No we just have to make it through the off season
Pit Row
Your content is what drew me to this forum from YouTube.
I'm looking forward to some more of your setup tips.
Oh, and STFU, noob!
We can all chip in for the hair dye.
Welcome back.
Welcome back 👍
