They can’t run the new bike, to do so they would have had to 400 in dealers in June for that reason the bikes are not homologated for 2021…

The 6/1 deadline doesn't apply to "early homologation" models, which the 2022 Honda would be. It just has to have the required 400 units to dealers.

9k OTD is pretty good if that factors in freight, setup and tax. Kawasaki's in my area are a few hundred dollars more then the CRF. the CRF build quality is much better when you see the bikes side by side.

Plus I'm pretty sure the new kx250f is on its 3rd recall already?

Around here Kawis hold their value ok but they look like hell if you ride them a lot.

As to first year Honda’s I would generally agree but this one isn’t such a radical departure from the previous 250 and current 450. Even the 2018 other than engine and clutch was pretty good I think. Now we have the evolution of that engine with four years of experience behind it and the chassis from the current 450. It isn’t as all new as previous all new Hondas.

Really other than soft fork settings and bad ecu mapping that was fixed with a reflash what first year issues did the ‘21 450 have?

I also saw yesterday on the latest MXA video that the clutch start switch is no more.

Hi. I watched a video of Jett Lawrence riding the new 250. He said he would put a 110/90 rear tire on the bike. My question is does a 110 tire fit on the 1.85 rear rim properly. I read a article that a 110 tire should not be mounted on that size rim, it rounds the tire more. The article said you should use a 2.15 rim. Will a 2022 CRF450 complete rear wheel (2.15) fit on the swing arm of the new 250? Price for a complete rear wheel $558.22 from Honda (motosport). If I read properly Yamaha put a 110 tire on the 2022 250f and the also put a 2.15 rim on the bike for the 22 model. I don’t mind spending the extra money on the 450f rim set up, I can always keep the one off the bike as a back up. With going to the 110, what differences will there be?

I do believe you can run the 2.15 rim on the 250f.

You can run a 110 on a 1.85. It does round the top knobs out a touch more and *could* possibly effect the handling. It may not be perfect but its fine. Bro runs a 110 on his 19 YZ250F. Another friend runs a 110 on his 20 Honda 250. Bike will rev a touch slower but traction gains are massive.

Well, I’d love to take you up on your offer. You let me know when. You should probably spend some time and break it in first. Smile
