For off road go with the KX hands down. It doesn’t react to rocks and roots and is such an amazing bike. If your a vet rider it’s no question. The kx is so predictable and you will crash less then if you got the Honda in my opinion.

Vet rider here. I went through this in 18 & 20. I considered the Kawi, Yamaha & Honda 450’s those yrs. & ended up going with the CRF’s. No regrets on my end & have been totally happy with the decisions.
Either way you go they’re both good choices & can’t go wrong either way.
I’m actually looking to buy a 22 WE model after owning a 20. Exceptional bikes once you dial in the suspension to suit your needs.

The bike that you all own is going to be the bike that you think is the greatest/ most balanced bike ever! It's a weird thing that we do in motocross. For some reason....we fight to prove that our bike is the greatest bike ever. I do the same shit......a happy day is when the bike i bought a month ago wins the shootouts.

Nah man I’m notorious for picking my bikes apart and nit picking little things. Changing and modding to suit my needs.
I’m a 20 year moto tech professionally and my friends hate when I ride their bikes 🙄

I was actually a huge Kawi and KTM fan until I got a feel for the new Honda prior to putting down a deposit.

We don’t think a bike is the best because we have it, we think it’s the best because it’s the best for us so opinions will reflect that 🙂

I think we’ve all been there at one time or another. Been passed by guys riding older clapped out bikes. Even though I could be on the latest & greatest gen. bike I still can’t make up for my lack of skill vs. the other rider.

Well I was able to ride a few and see a few, and wouldn’t you know in reality I’m riding more and more woods so tada 🎉, a 450x is just what the dr ordered.

Looks like I'm a bit late to the party, but I picked up a 2022 Honda after being on Kawis since 2009 (most recent being a 2017 kx450). The Honda is definitely a completely different bike, but it's a great bike and I'm really enjoying the transition. The KX had more grunt and bottom end power, and like a lot of others have said, prefers to be steered with the rear end. The Honda has a more mellow, linear power delivery and the front end hooks up and cuts on a dime.

lets hear some ride reports, im looking for a 450 myself, preferably a yam or honda.., im leaning toward the yam cuz of the suspension, love the look of the honda!

The Honda is sharper and more aggressive. Mapping is dirty stock. Kawi is a bit slower, more comfortable and stable. Still fast, but easier to ride.
