Eli has won 2 of the last 3 motos now. And he was right there in the first moto after catching the lead pack until the last few laps.

Southwick is his best track. Is he about to put together a series of wins?

I think he is the only one that can truly challenge DF14 the rest of the way.

No telling.. he could win out and I wouldn't be surprised. He could also not finish inside the top 5 again and I wouldn't be surprised. Hope he is able to string some wins together more guys winning equals better racing.

If Dylan starts anywhere in the top 10, then no. Dylan is on another level right now. And if Kenny rides like he did the second race he will be beating Tomac as well.

DF14 has a history of big crashes. Hope not but he pushes the limits.

16 motos left.

History of big crashes? Won the 19&20 250 SX championships, last years 250 MX championship and gave AC all he could handle the year before…The last big crash was I believe his rookie season when he broke his jaw…that’s far from having a history

If no one talked about it...there would be no VitalMX forum. This is part of the fun.

Maybe...
But he'd need to pick up the pace relative to Ferrandis, if Redbud was any indication. In Moto 1, Ferrandis passed Tomac then put 17 seconds on him. In Moto 2, Ferrandis ran Eli down from several positions behind.

It’s no different than any year before. It takes a rider on a mission to get it done. Dylan is on this mission. Just like Zach last year. Eli is trying, but that extra spark that it takes isn’t happening. Change will be good

Well, for starters…the proper way to state the stats is “2 out of the last 4 motos” since we race them in pairs/2 per race-day. Furthermore, he needs to throw a whole lot more into that “1st moto of the day” & show us some consistency before we get all “Eli’s gonna Win It All” kinda crazy.

Carmichael, Poto, Dungey all retired around 26 years old. Tomac is 28. No shame in walking away if you’ve lost your desire to push the edge. Nothing to prove. Already won everything there is to win.

If anything I’d say he has a history of misjudgments that result in tip overs over odd mistakes. Haven’t seen any in a while though, I personally believe he will be the champ this season but we also haven’t seen his “bad day” yet

Yes, things usually change some around the mid-point of the season.

The next three tracks are some of Eli's best though.

If you think 3 moto wins in a row is a streak then yes. Or would anybody be surprised if he goes 1-1 at Southwick?

Yeah but if you only look at the 2nd motos of the last 2 races he's undefeated!

Ferrandis and Tomac will jockey for the worst start to battle through the pack. Both guys are big head scratchers on the start. So much talent and they can't consistently start well. I believe this is Ferrandis' to lose. Crazy that Ferrandis was closing on Tomac at the end of the race at Red Bud. If's and but's and all, but Ferrandis just ran out of time.

Someone is going to have to step up their game to beat Ferrandis. Can it happen? Sure. Could it be Tomac? Sure.

If things continue the way they have been, however, Ferrandis will win the title by 25 or more points.

Tomac picked it up and matched DF's time on the last lap.

So now we have two guys who can put in their fastest lap time of the moto on the last lap.

Used to be only ET3 who did that. Should be good the rest of the way.
