Is Eli the most dominant US outdoor rider to only do the MXDN once during his prime? I’m only counting his ‘18 appearance, ‘13 and ‘14 he was a 250 rider and a 450 rookie.

Have any other multi time 450 outdoor champs given the MXDN the finger as much as Eli has?

Makes no difference. Eli Tomac will probably never have to make the choice to go to the MXoN or not again.

So let me get this straight…you don’t want to count his 250 race in Germany where he was probably the fastest 250 rider and had the US in a position to win until his scrub crash or his performance in Latvia where in the final moto his comeback from a first turn crash to 3rd was by far the most impressive ride of the day….but you only want to count his debacle of a ride at Red Bud? It’s unfortunate that Eli was held back in his prime by Kawasaki and not allowed to ride because they felt that SX prep was more important….how did that work out for them…..

Exactly, he had multiple chances when he was on top, and now he will likely be passed over. Missed his chances

Bingo, mec win, sx title win. $$$$. And both monster events. Worked out good for eli, ac and the team.

In 2019 he should've went, and since he didnt want to go, AC couldn't go to make him look bad and let the team "not having the resources to go " take the fall. Dude just doesn't want to do anything outside of a contract.

Nope, I’m just asking how many other dominant guys only did 1 MXDN during their “run at the top”

All those years of SX prep garnered one SX championship…I would say that holding Eli back from doing MXDN didn’t get the championships they expected…other teams allowed their riders to go and won more SX championships…

Well they all have choices, 1 sx title is more than alot of top riders have. Kroc sat the summer to win a sx title, credit to tomac racing the most, and winning races and titles. Since dungey retired. Tomac has been the best dude.

Hope im wrong but i doubt putting USA on the top step of the box at a MXoN is a high priority for him regardless what brand of bike he is on. Someone else will step up and play that role.

I think it would be cool if this years team was

1. Ac
2. Ken(he can do this since he is a citizen but I obviously know he won’t)
3. Cooper

If Ken is a US citizen, why would he not represent the USA?

If I recall correctly Tomac was the highest placing American that day, why is it his performance that gets examined under a microscope? I realize he was the MX champion but the conditions they rode that day are supposed to be right up Barcia and Plessinger’s alley and they didn’t perform any better.

Dual citizenship. He should represent his country of origin.

Ken our leader, we follow him blindly. He should go for any team he wants, results won't matter, when you are winning at life.

AC is not an option. Kawasaki no longer supports the usa at the MXoN.

Afaik. He's not a US citizen. If he gets citizenship he has to give up his German one. Germany only grants dual in very rare cases. It think they're still trying to get an exception for him

It seems that the best riders we have in the premier class either don’t want to go and or are not willing to ride at 100% and risk injury. SX is so important to the manufacturers and the riders it’s not worth the risk.

When did it shift from Tomac dont wanting to ride to Kawi dont supporting their guys?

As i can recall the US media reported it like Tomac not wanting to ride a couple of years ago when all this started? Never saw anything about Kawi not letting him?

Would think that both Kawi and Monster would like to have one of their riders line up att the most exposed MX race of the year.

but never won a moto outside the USA in MX ... Tomac was expected to do better in all those races as good as he was at that time , and dont act like MXON isnt important for anybody who loves MX or a multiple outdoor champ like Eli

dont think we will ever see him again outside the USA or at MXON

People love to talk about Tomac at Red Bud and how bad he was yet others are saying Roczen should be on the team. They never talk about how bad Kenny did They must have forgotten that Roczen got smoked worse than Tomac that day.

Regardless, its ridiculous that some are even suggesting Roczen should be on Team USA.

All the guys picked are expected to do good, thats the reason they were picked. I love the mxon, but i also respect people for making their own choices.
