How do I track a stock price real time?

I use yahoo finance for research and Fidelity for a broker. My current method is to check the price once a day, when I remember.

Is there a better way?

I use an app called StockTwits to check stocks during the day. There’s some good comments on individual stocks and lots of people post their DD.

Unless you are day-trading, I don’t think there’s much value in tracking stock prices down to the minute.

My daily routine: check pre-market, check on the open, check around lunch, and then check on the close/AH. Using StockTwits, I follow about a dozen stocks that I’m invested in and it only takes ~30 secs to check in on the open and see what the daily action is looking like.

I have a hard time believing that hedge funds / institutional investors are going to be on the wrong side of this. They all saw what happened with GME and anyone of them with a brain would have put out a do not trade order on any stock
mentioned more than x number of times in WSB subreddit.

But.... greed makes people and companies do dumb things. I hope y’all are right on this one. I may sit this one out.
Most likely, you are right. I tend to think the same and I firmly believe AMC delivering a “moonshot” is slime to none.

However, the buying and holding pressure on AMC is so intense that it is HIGHLY probable that it’s going to cause significant rise in the stock price. $20 to 50 per share is probably very realistic at some point in the next 6 months.

I'll give Twits a try. Thanks!

Stay away from RobinHood. They sell your information, as well as screw investors. Use Webull, or i personally use ThinkorSwim

You 're aware all of those platforms generate revenue from payment for order flow, just like RobinHood, right?

Yes, however fidelity, thinkorswim, Webull do not shut down retailers. Robinhood is still donkey in the grand scheme of things

4 month high Smile $16.41 at time of writing

Everyone HOLD!

$15 has been a big barrier that has been tested several times. I hope this goes sideways the rest of the week to build a new support level above $15 so that we can test $20 next week.

FOMO should start kicking in soon.

Good luck guys! I’m on the GME train, but I’m confident we’ll all see each other on the moon!

Scottie - I said that about GameStop for weeks/months. Saw it go up to $10 thought it was too expensive and wouldn’t hold. Then it went to $15, then 20, then 30, then 40...I watched it go all the way up to $300+. Each day/week I m convinced myself not to buy because I didn’t want to be holding bags at the top.

The point is, AMC can possibly do the same thing. And I honestly feel that anything under ~$25 is still a value for the stock post COVID. If you have some play money, buy some shares, hold them, and see what happens.

This is no place for emotions or superstitions. We're going to the moon. Just don't use any more money than you can stand to lose.

I totally forgot about the options game. But I bought one today and it's already doing great. I got a $20 call that expires June 18th. I have taken so much money out of loser stocks to try to make up the difference lately with crypto and now AMC.

Man I had a buy to open for the Jun 11 $15 calls - blew right past my bid price on open. just remember about options:

Yeah I stayed away from options for a long time after being burned by them.

So funny how AMC and GME always move in tandem. Nothing suspicious about that at all… Whistling

If you buy in now your not missing anything. the regular stock price is around $25-$30 a share. But this will squeeze and is going to go up. How high is the question. Hop aboard with us. I’m running 700 shares. Looking good today the market is currently at 19.33 per share

Hope I am wrong, but don't be surprised if it struggles to break $20 today and then falls back down to 15/16 range to close out the week.
