Didn't get a chance to look into as last night was race prep. I do have a question -What all did you need to put that HPP cylinder on the '02 bottom end? I have heard you need part of the '96 style actuator? I have tons of extra parts laying around just want to know what to expect..............
I ended up selling the 02 and rebuilding my 96 CR125. I put a 38mm Airstriker with STIC Metering block in it since we run them in the TC125's with splendid results. This bike is pretty much as fast ast the TC's and handles like it's on rails. I also ended up shimming the PV 3mm to open slightly later so smooth out the huge surge of power the STIC gave it since I am not the greatest 125 rider. Such a blast to ride now feels like a light 250f..........

Thanks for resurrecting an old post. During the lockdown I installed my air Stryker. Ended up going with a Boyesen rad valve for a better fit into the boot. Used recommended JD jetting specs the last 3 weeks. Had a little blubber on mid/top so I dropped the needle 1 clip. Runs way cleaner and made a pretty good difference power wise. Still not fully set on jetting but damn close. Runs way cleaner on the bottom compared to the mikuni. Bike is a kick in the ass to ride!

What were your jetting specs if you don’t mind me asking dude? Just about to fit an air striker to my ‘02 CR125 now but trying to get some base jetting specs down. Bike is completely stock apart from a PC pipe.

Would have to go thru my notes but if you have a JD kit, I am 1 clip down from the specs he recommends in his paperwork. Will check later and edit this post.

Didn't read every post so I apologize if this has already been offered but I bought a used PWK from a guy who specifically ordered it from JD Jetting for the same CR125 and I have the paperwork JD sent for jetting that I can post if you'd like when I get home.

Hey bud, if you could do that, that’d be great! More information I can get the better! Smile

Basically says this

0-3000ft. / 3000-6000ft

Pilot - 45. / 45

Needle - blue. / Red

Clip - 4th. / 4th

Main - 185. / 180

My recommended specs from JD were for 0-3000ft listed

Sequence from going richer to leaner switching needles Blue 4th, red 4th, blue 3rd, red 3rd, blue 2nd, red 2nd

Pilot is for idle to 1/4 throttle

Needle basically 1/4 to 1/2

Main 1/2 to WFO

Thanks for that dude, I’ve got a 180 main and 50 pilot sat here so I’m going to try them first and see how I get on. The bike is completely stock apart from a PC silencer so shouldn’t be far off! Smile

I have a 04 cr125 also. Any idea what your pal ran for jets ? Would jd be the best place to buy a pwk air striker ? I checked the jets on the 04 I just bought. The slide doesn’t look good. The slide a 4.5 is not available anymore. Sucks because I have a lot of jets for the tmx carb.

We had a 06 cr125 switched to the PWK Air Striker it was night and day difference from the mikuni and no fouling issues every time the temp changed or a cloud came over!!! 182 main 42 pilot N3CG(YZ250) Needle #6 slide(this is the key) Im at 1000ft in your language. Had both the 36mm and 38mm. 36 is great for low end but for the 125 the 38 really made it go, revved hard mid thru top, also three 1 inch holes either side of airbox helped a lot too. Tried lots of needles and slides, that setup worked best for us on a stock bike but for pro circuit pipe and muffler in Oz

Is it possible to chrome an old worn slide as above?
I,m wondering the same thing. There is just about every other service for a bike. I even found a co. That reprograms and test 04 cdi,s. The stock needle that was in it, was bent. I changed that, stock pilot, 380 main. Not saying that is correct jetting, rain stopped me from testing it. The tmx carb is finicky, rejett twice a day is norm. I used to have 5 needles with clips on, ready in a tackle box. 1/2 clip needles richer, Leaner, full needle richer, leaner. Icat helps with jetting also, temp changes or humidity change. If I already made a 2nd jetting change, I just ran it then. If it wasn’t too lean.

It is possible, but getting a hard wearing coating that adheres as well as the original and has the correct clearance to the carb will be difficult at best.
