N picks up a great ride .
What are you talking about? He's got a great ride, hes on factory KTM?

Regan duffey and Kyle webster both were in a class of their own. Todd waters looked much better in 2nd moto.

I think the broadcast was really good, better than what I watched of atlanta supercross.

Oh yeah, i believe he had offers in mxgp but his dad said no as they werent good enough, we've lost a lot of great riders going over to shit teams and then losing their ride. The feeling I got in the podcast was that they want a bit more experience in aus and an actual good team to go over on.

Duffy will outgrow aus pretty quickly at the rate he’s going.

Just work.....I work a long way from home all week, only get back to where my bikes are on friday night.
With everything ive had going on , my 125 is nothing but an after thought, dont get to ride it often enough to get it srted out, being an 06 model...all sorts of weird problems keep surfacing despite having had a major overhaul..
New bikes just dont give you any problems...should have just sold it as is ages ago and bought a new one..
Hopefully in the coming months I will be able to set up a shipping container work shop where I live through the week so that I can work on my bikes after work

Sounds like a good call to pull the pin mate, no prep at all would have been a disaster, relax and enjoy watching the pro’s defy physics all day.
Yes it was a good call...if Id got the 125 started and warmed up enough ,it might have got me half way round the first lap..🤔
I desperately needed to ride it last weekend, but discovered that the buffer in the poxy rhk chain guide I had on it was ..gone..chain rubbing on the alloy guide..dug out the original one but no guide insert..so no ride...had to drive to Shepparton Saturday morning to pick one up off a mate, then go on to Wonthaggi.
I entered for Wonthaggi b4 this ignition problem came up with the 125....it was probably there but I havent ridden it for months
I get there and proceed to fit a new rear tyre..got the old one off and the rim lock had split in half...Trav Whitten gave me one...got those jobs done and went to start it..took about 20 kicks...
This morning I thought this is going to be a very bad idea....tried to start it but it wouldn't, so I didn't worry about it...
Id like to say spectatating was fun..but in that freezing cold wind and rain..nope!
Anyway, with my work backing off coming into winter ,I shouldnt have any troubles being ready for Horsham in 2 weeks....But my last 2 race meetings have been a circus...just not prepared in any way

1st word of advice is to say no thanks to any Italian team except For Cairolis Team. Most horror stories involve Italian teams

Considering the rain, sleet, wind and hail the track was in great condition, rough was to be expected but the day and racing was good. The TV package was great and a positive step forward!
Great they had the 125 cup there also :

Yeah...all up it was really good, so many really professional looking outfits...not just the big teams but the privateer guys all looked amazing...a lot of pride there...the sport is looking good! Its a shame about the shit weather but I don't think it made any difference to how the event went off....just another day in paradise for the locals , but us Northerners get a bit sooky about that arctic blast...well I certainly do 🙂
If Longy turns up at Chesney Vale next weekend, I'll ask him what that thing is poking out of his jersey in that photo..maybe some kind of performance booster thingy..🤔🤔

"get a bit sooky".

Classic, and I sure as hell know about that.......

Shearer, PJR?

How many a day?

One of my Grandads had a property up in Qld, that I'd go to in the 70s. I can't even remember exactly where, or the Stations name. My Mum would know, but it would take that rare moment of clarity she has, now. But, as I can't remember, I can't criticize the Old Girl too much.

Did general roustabout work, then a bit of shearing. But only to a truely piddly 30/50 a day, and not consistently, in between runnng around like blue arsed fly, getting Woollies into the shed yards, and helping clean, pack and do machine maintenance - I already was a "fixer" and fabricator. While I did buggerall shearing, by real Shearer's numbers, my Grandad noticed how clean and safe I was with the stock, so he would get me to do Rams. He reckoned he had the right to take my balls off if I did damage, so I'd be sure to leave them intact. We'd do most of the Rams with manual ( scissors) shears, most of the time. I really enjoyed that, over using the powered heads.

Bloody hell, that was a lifetime ago.

It was never, ever going to be the life for me, but, ironically, my next door neighbour, who started to come up with me, fell in love with the life, and is still a Wool Classer.

Yeah Ive been a shearer for over 30 years. They are pretty damn big these days , not like those little Queensland sheep from decades ago. An average merino ewe down here is about 80kg..a lot more if its on point of lamb.
I average about 130 around here but 5he quality of the sheep varies massively. I seldom do less than 120, in good sheep 160.or more...the very occasional 200.
The good thing is my boss is paying $4 now, so I only have to do 125 a day to make $2500 a week, I so that pretty easy.
The shearing takes its toll though. RSI bad in my shoulders that causes numbness down my arms and right out to my fingers, especially when I ride

Was that when the smoke came out of the mid section of the bike?

I slept in, was watching the SX replay, and switched on SBS , just as that happened.

Left 2 screens on, but, knowing I could watch it again on SBS Online, I would just look over during commercial breaks in the SX.

It's pretty bloody awesome to have free to air , live coverage, on our multicultural, 'Euro Nudie Movie" TV Station. It looked to be well done, though the young lady talked quicker than the Brit girl all these Americans complain about.Woohoo

Not sure sport. I just happened on it as I usually put Speedweek on in the background in the Workshop, even when watching SX. I'm yet to check it on SBS Online to see just how much of it they have there.

Well i thought the whole TV package was on point considering what i was expecting.
Hoges and Hammy were great in commentary, they just bounce together well and there enthusiasm
was clearly audible. The chick doing the interviews was also pretty good and she would of been freezing her tits off.
The boy's from the West came out blazing as i expected.
I fully expect The Duffman not to lose another race bar a mechanical.
Cannot wait for the next round.
