I guess they need more time to fix the track, which makes sense. Just sucks we lose 5 minutes of racing because of it.

There is no reason to shorten anything. Time will be the same except for maybe 1 extra minute for the + 1 lap over a typical 46 sec sx course.

Don't worry y'all, they'll still fit their 20 minutes of race reports and other discussion into the shortened races. If we're lucky, we might get them to call 1-2 mins of actual racing, but I wouldn't count on it.

Its not like they are doing 20 laps so be like 32 mins, 18 min of racing is the same if you are doing 4 laps or 12 laps

This is like the holy grail for me. No sound from the on air “talent” just track mics picking up the bikes and the pa announcer at low level in the background.
I keep thinking they’ll fix it but I hope they don’t 😀
They cut to Daniel talking to Anderson and all I hear it equipment working on the track

They needed extra time to repair and groom the track because of its size and the wet conditions. It sucks but it does make sense. If only our sport had some pull and was allowed to run long like every other sport.
