What did you dip the fork legs into? I presume to remove the old clear coat?
It’s a lye bath I use to remove anodizing so I can fix scratches etc.

Great build!

What media are you using in your Vapor Cabinet?

Same for aluminum vs steel?

Thank you very much.
I use glass bead for both aluminum and steel. I use a different psi though.
You got any videos? Would love to see the years of build up getting blown away...

So far working on wheels is her least favorite part. Haha. Fresh rivets in the airbox and hubs ready for paint

She’s stoked with the fresh powder coat to the frame, swingarm and bars. Thankfully she’s leaving the tank as is!

Haha. Yes it is. We have 10 of the little shits and this one sneaks in once in awhile because she forgets she’s a bird.

My pal who paints custom cars just used a quality semi gloss on the cylinder and cases

I appreciate that. Hopefully it turns out to be a beautiful 76 with a few of my wife’s ideas she has.

We have been waiting on a bunch of parts. We have been having a hard time trying to resource a new sleeve but FINALLY have it worked out and the new cylinder will be ready next week. We did get a few things painted in the mean time.

Wheels are done and engine assembly begins! We should have a runner in two weeks.

Engine is done! She wanted to give the stock look a little more pop and I think she killed it. I’m a very proud husband
