Sexton putting away two championships before Forkner was a big surprise, the thought of Wackers scoring one before Forkner is straight up crazy shit.

Shows nothing is guaranteed.

Thats putting the cart well in front of the horse though. Justin's fastest lap in the main was over a second faster than Cameron's. Cameron never got down to the 1:10's while Justin had three laps in there.

And Justin's fast lap was lap 12.

I think it is a generalized statement about Forkner moreso than about Mcadoo... How riders of nowhere near Austin's phenom-level speed/pedigree may have pushed their way to equal or more successful pro careers thus far. That could include Cooper, too.

I was thinking the same exact thing. Wackers to factory Kawi before forkner? All kidding aside his ride last night was impressive and proof that the true “amateur” amateur to winning rider isn’t a dead concept yet

Forkner isn’t alone at n the category though. Craig, Cianciarulo, and davalos all had more than enough speed to win a championship and all have routinely fallen short. Plenty more that I’m sure I’m missing also.

i think it was cool to see him get a win, he made it to a top team the hard way, taking rides when they came up,

cool to see this can still happen,

I guess you could say that about AC, but what riders in AC's generation are on par with his pro career? Webb is the one usually mentioned there, but he also was carrying a golden ticket with high expectation on his way up.

Craig/Davalos are super fast riders, but I don't think their more journeyman careers are really what the OP was interested in analyzing.

Got to admit this young man came out of nowhere the last 5 years. Good for him and seems really humble and hope to see him battle with Cooper all year. Fan of both of them a championship will be well deserved.

All I gotta say is thank god for some competition on the 250 West. I was really think Justin Cooper was just gonna win the chip no problem. At least someone is keeping him honest, make him work for it lol

And yet, Cameron won and Justin got 4th. Lap times mean nothing if you get beat.
