Be certain of death, taxes and that AF might beat KR in a few races but that's as much as he could ever beat KR.
Huh?

Can easily see some top tens. He was training with the Baker guys, and said himself that he trained for GNCC by riding moto. If we get a mudder, I would consider him a favorite for the win.

KTM released a bike in his honor, they are gonna take care of him.

Hell, some would argue KR is responsible for selling more KTMs than the Moto/SX team and they might have legitimate argument?

Can you imagine if he won everything on a Kawi?
I’ve heard his salary from KTM is 235k no race win or championship bonus. When him and Cory b started in xc1 they’re salaries were 120k plus they could earn bonuses.

I doubt they’re paying 235 for him to race outdoors

250 nationals seems a bit crazy for an older GNCC rider, I’d of thought 450.

Cool that he’s going to do it.

I would fully agree with your last paragraph. KTMs were huge in off road long before they were good at supercross.

Y’all are way to high on kailub outdoors. I’ve followed his entire career, even before he was pro. He never really raced moto and a kid, Tina wouldn’t let him. He will be in the points but no top tens unless it’s muddy, kailub is also what 31-32. His conditioning for woods riding was good but it was his never say die mind set that got him those championships.

Again I love what kailub did at Gncc, but if you think that success will transfer your high.

IM NOT TRYING TO SLIGHT DISS KR! He’s my guy
A few years ago he raced an outdoor on the 450 and was riding really well. If not for a crash, he would have been top 5 on the day.

I wonder how much MX prep he’ll be doing compared to his outing at unadilla?

People act like the guy doesn't ride moto. He does (or did) train at the Bakers Factory and did countless motos with all the guys. If he puts in the work and focuses just on moto he will be a top 10 guy easy.

Isn’t Russell like the grandson of the guy who started GNCC? That’s pretty cool.

Running 5 laps a year on a track that looks nothing like a prepped national has nothing to do with results there. Mud, yea that was a factor

Alright alright alright, we have the chatter! But in all seriousness. For starters, this deal isn’t a sure thing yet, when you see a press release you and I will both know. I am in a good a very good spot to check off a child hood dream. I’ve always wanted this opportunity and with my success In off-road I’ve been able to position myself with this request to KTM. I’m not trying to do this for anyone or anything other than my self. I’d love to go out and be competitive and have the time of my life and close out my career as a professional racer. I am not an optimist, but a realist. I know I have 0 chance of winning a championship or even a favorable condition event. But on the odd chance we have a mudder, I wouldn’t count me out!

Salary guess isn’t far off but a tad shy, I do make race/championship bonuses. However when I arrived in XC-1 it wasn’t even close to 120k. More like 50ish.

Not fake news. My father and biological mother were never married. My dad (Jeff Russell) married Carrie Coombs daughter of Dave Coombs sr.

I hope this clears up everyone’s thoughts and allows you to stop inciting any unneeded drama into anyone’s life. Thanks for any and all support, hope you all get to see me on the track in May!

Can easily see some top tens. He was training with the Baker guys, and said himself that he trained for GNCC by riding moto. If we get a mudder, I would consider him a favorite for the win.
Can’t directly answer this question but I remember Sipes saying doing the last 4 rounds of outdoors years ago when he had a Gncc only deal more than doubled his salary.
