21 ex-factory or factory riders if I'm counting correctly. That's a stacked field

26 Alex Martin
31 Cameron Mcadoo
32 Justin Cooper
33 Derek Drake
35 Mitchell Harrison
39 Carson Mumford
41 Hunter Lawrence
45 Pierce Brown
47 Jalek Swoll
48 Garrett Marchbanks
59 Jarrett Frye
67 Stilez Robertson
74 Mitchell Falk
75 Ty Masterpool
80 Jordon Smith
91 Nate Thrasher
133 Jordan Bailey
137 Sean Cantrell

I don't see the hype around the Martin brothers for SX...

I think its going to be Justin Cooper just dominating each round. & i cant stand him. but love or hate, he will be the guy to beat.

Thanks - I am looking forward to seeing Drake race - but want him healthy. I think he will be a contender.

I know the east coast had alot of injuries, but doesn't it seem like the guy who places 15th in an west coast race could probably be a top 5 guy on the east coast.

Given the depleted East lineup, I bet a few of the West coast guys are kicking themselves. What a stacked field in the West.

Cooper clearly has fastest outright speed.

Speed isn't everything.

Case in point, see Forkner.

Was thinking about that. Who has won a 250 regional sx title in the shortest number of years since their debut in the last 15 years?
My gut says it takes around 3 years and so many really fast guys take around 6?

Slow and steady should be the mantra for 250 guys to get it done.

Thinking since he has got slightly less talent chasing him this year, no forkner ,sexton, ferrandis ect.
Like nichols it will be his time to when the chip.
. Only injury can stop him.

I read half the thread and then came back to it. I might have missed it but has anybody even mentioned Jordan Smith. I have to think JMart, Justin Cooper and Jordan Smith as the upper end favorites for me.

Going to be a fun coast to watch! I'm excited to see how Ty Masterpool and Marchbanks do, being proven talents on non-factory equipment. Lot's of other 1st year and 2nd year rookies to keep an eye on as well. And IMO, I think this is JMarts championship to lose.

Is Jordan Jarvis still racing SX this year? Agreed not a Championship threat, but would be awesome if she could make the night show.

Some good guys are going to miss out on the main

Rooting for Thury but this is going to be tough for him. Hope he makes the main more often than not. In the East class he'd probably have a shot at a top 10

Townley and Canard won it the first time I think. Pourcel technically as well, but he did some races before he did a full season.

And there are many that did it in their second season like RV. Barcia, Tomac, Webb. I think even Bogle won it in this second season of SX

Do you or anyone else know anything about the other French rider, Calvin Fonvieille?

I'd say he's normally about the same as Thury and Thomas Do. Hard to say because the last time they raced SX in Europe was in 2019. And as far as I know he has only just arrived in the US. Thury has been living and training at ClubMX for about 4 months

Villopoto, Dungey, Barcia, Tomac, Webb, Sexton all did it in their second year of SX. All except Barcia and current rookie Sexton are also big bike champs.

Calvin is about as good as Do, maybe Thomas is slighly better and I guess TD773 got more racing experience in the usa. Calvin has a smooth riding style. I commented a local race where Thomas won and Calvin ended up 3rd some times ago and it was close racing.
